Chapter Sixteen

Lexi and JC were on their way to see Lexi’s new condo. As Lexi directed him from street to street, JC began to realize that this way was very familiar. When they finally reached the opening for Palm Springs, JC caught on.

“Did you buy a condo in here?”

“Yup.”

“Really? That’s great! We’re neighbors now!”

Lexi chuckled. “Yeah, but too bad our houses are like a mile apart.”

“Yeah…it is big in here. Oh well. It’s better than nothing.”

JC drove to Lexi’s new condo. She unlocked the door and began giving him a tour.

“So what do you think?” Lexi asked when she was done showing him around.

“It’s phat! It’s not similar to mine at all. I just wanna know why your condo’s on a lake and mine isn’t,” JC smirked.

“I guess I just have good luck.”

“So you’re moving in Monday?”

“Yeah. I can’t wait. It shouldn’t take that long because my belongings only consist of a desk, a bed set, and clothes and stuff. Thankfully my parents are sending me up some sofas and tables.”

“Cool, well, I have an appointment at two, so we should get going.”

JC and Lexi were walking down the stairs when Lexi lost her balance and tripped. Of course, JC was there to break her fall. As he helped her up his face inched in closer to hers. JC knew that he wanted to kiss Lexi, and Lexi knew that she wanted to kiss JC, but all of a sudden she backed away.

“C’mon, you don’t want to be late for your appointment.”

From the time that JC had dropped off Lexi back off at home, she was shopping. She had went shopping for several things for her new place: dishes, silverware, two more phones, a new answering machine, a new television for her living room, and some pots and pans. She usually doesn’t spend that much money at once…actually she’d never spent that much money at once, but she figured that she would have to eventually have to buy these things.

Sunday was pretty much dedicated to finishing packing, and taking care of other business. She called the Cable Company, the movers, and the Phone Company to make sure that everything was in order for moving day.

In the middle of all that madness, Lexi decided to call JC from her cell phone while she was on her way to pick up the television she had on hold at Service Merchandise.

“Hey, Josh! What’s up?”

“Nuttin much. Excited about moving tomorrow?”

“Yeah. I can’t wait. So are you gonna be in the studio tomorrow? ”

“No, actually. I have a meeting with the guys and our management to discuss the tour coming up in April.”

“Oh, ok. Well, I guess I’ll talk to ya later.”

“Absolutely. Later neighbor.”

“Haha…bye.”
