*NSYNC to perform at the Grammy's
Destiny's Child, 'NSYNC, Brad Paisley and DollyParton have been selected as performers for the 43rd Annual GRAMMY Awardstelecast, it was announced today by Michael Greene, President/CEO of TheRecording Academy. The show will originate from STAPLES Center in Los Angelesand be broadcast on the Global Television Network on Wednesday, February 21from 8-11 p.m. ET/PT. The ceremony also will be broadcast on ONtv in Ontario.
Erykah Badu, Ray Romano and Carlos Santana are the first presenters to benamed for the music industry's pre-eminent awards show. Additional presenterswill be announced shortly. 'NSYNC has earned three nominations, including Record Of The Year and Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal for "Bye Bye Bye," and Best Pop Vocal Album for No Strings Attached. Destiny's Child garnered fivenominations including Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year and Best R&B Song for "Say My Name," among others. Dolly Parton has two nominations, including Best Female Country Vocal Performance for "Travelin' Prayer" and Best Bluegrass Album for The Grass Is Blue. Brad Paisley is nominated in the Best New Artist category and will perform a duet with Parton on the show. Presenter Erykah Badu also has two GRAMMY nominations. Badu is up for Best R&B Song and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for "Bag Lady." Carlos Santana was last year's big GRAMMY winner, taking home eight GRAMMYs.
