*NSYNCers Bound For Film

Lance Bass, Joey Fatone put music on the side for On the L

Lance Bass's first foray into the role of movie producer has paid off. The *NSYNC star's production company, A Happy Place -- which is geared to developing projects for music and sports stars -- has optioned the rights to their first project to Miramax Films.

That film, On the L, will also star none other than Bass and *NSYNC-mate Joey Fatone. The band's label, Jive Records, will provide the soundtrack, sure to feature a few *NSYNC songs.

The film centers around Bass's character, who sees the girl of his dreams on a train, but before he can get her phone number she's gone. His friend, played by Fatone, tries to help him find the girl. As yet, the film has no director but is scheduled to begin filming in March in Toronto.

Bass has made cameos in several TV shows, including 7th Heaven and Touched By An Angel. This will be Fatone's third film; he's had roles in the upcoming My Big Fat, Greek Wedding and The Brothers. Lance Bass and Joey Fatone of *NSYNC are set to appear in the latest American teenage comedy, On The L.

Lance Bass (coincidentally the tenor of the group) falls in love with a mystery girl and sounds like it has the general gist of every other boy meet girl movie ever made.

*NSYNC have had a huge amount of success with their No Strings Attached album, as well as their hit single, Bye Bye Bye, and they are currently in the studio recording their new album. Lance insists, "The big difference is that we're writing a lot of the songs ourselves. We'll have a couple of songs by Max Martin, who wrote Bye Bye Bye, but mostly it will be us."
