"I'd give my all for your love ... tonight" Angela ended the song and slowly opened her eyes. Singing was her passion, and it made her so happy. When she opened her eyes, she saw her manager smiling. Her manager was none other than Lance Bass of *NSYNC fame. He has discovered her one night in a club in Orlando, FL. It was karaoke night and her friends Allycyn and Michelle had forced her to get up and sing. She had chose "My All" because it was one of her favorite songs, and it reminded her of her ex, Matt. After she finished, Lance sat there amazed. She had an amazing voice, and he just HAD to get her to let him make her a star.
He had approached her as she was walking out. He had expected her to know who he was, but to his surprise she didn't. After he introduced himself he explained to her about Free Lance Entertainment, and asked her is she would consider a career in the music business. She immediately said yes. This was the chance she had been waiting for her whole life, and she wasn't about to turn it down. The only problem was she wasn't sure how she was going to deal with the hectic schedule. And if she DID make it big -- how was she gonna deal with the fame?
But now here she was, recording the first song for her first CD. It wasn't going to be a single, but it was a start. Angela walked out of the recording booth and Lance hugged her.
"That was wonderful. Even more breathtaking then at the club." He said with a smile.
"No. It was OK, but not wonderful." Angela was always modest about her singing. She honestly didn't think that she was any good, all she knew was that she loved it.
"Are you kidding me? Here - listen." He said as he played back what she just recorded. She listened deeply, trying to find something wrong with it. Even she had to admit that she couldn't.
"Lance - are you sure that is me? You didn't rig this thing did you?" He chuckled. The two had become quick friends. She had heard some of *NSYNC's songs on the radio and admitted that she enjoyed most of it. They were talented.
"That IS you Angie - trust me. Oh hey! Listen ... I was thinking about ways to get you some exposure, and I came up with the perfect idea.
"And that would be?"
"Would you be my date for the MTV Video Music Awards?"
