~*Chapter 7*~

.....Angie woke up at 4am, and was alone. She wandered down the hall, looking for Ashley. "Maybe he left me!" She thought frantically. But he was on the couch, looking through a photo album stuffed with pix of him and Shelli and Angelina. Them in the school play - Grease, them at the beach, them at the fair, them in his house, him and Shelli on prom night etc. Angie had gone alone to prom. It was about two weeks before she had moved. His heart broke all over again when he remembered her standing alone, while Backstreet Boys's 'Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely' was on. He had left Shelli and danced with Angie. Shelli had never been jealous. He loved her for it. "Hey Angel." "Hi Angelina." "I remember that day. It was so fun. I loved it when you guys let me tag along." "Ang, you never 'tagged along' you were like, part of our little group, okay?" "Sure. Ashley, you could never guess how much I missed you, best friend o' mine." "I could probably take a wild guess." She told him about how her mom and her had not heard a word from her dad and how her mom's job was at Lou's office. "Ooh, let's see if we can still do the telechenetic thing!" She was suddenly herself again, and Ashley was so happy. It was like for the last few hours she had been a completly different Angie, and he was worried she had changed for good. "K." He put a picture behind his back in one hand and she guessed "right." "Correct!" "Yay! Ooh yay!" By this time all the others (except Ikaika) were awake and watching from around the corner. Till then, she had been acting kind of like a snob, but it was probably just shock, they concluded. "Boys! Ooh! Boys are awake Ash! Sorry!" "That's okay". Erik smiled. Ashley didn't like the way his best friend and his good-looking, charming, 'Love-Me-Ladies' friend were looking at one another. He knew Angie was flirting. She called that her sultry look, and she always practised on him. She had invented it in seventh grade, and it always lured guys to her. She looked down at a 45 degree angle and cast her eyes upward so that she wasn't staring you right in the eyes. "I hear growling stomachs. I am going to make smiley-face pancakes!" Angelina leaped into the kitchen, quite comfortable with everyone now. They all had a good, filling breakfast. "I think I love you, Angelina!" Paul said as he finished his stack. Ashley walked her home after that. They talked along the way about everything - everything. When he left to go to practise she pulled him close and whispered "I am so glad you're back Ashley." She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and went inside.
