12:00 pm
We got to the Thomas and Mack Center... which was way better than Sam Boyd Stadium. They let cameras in... they didn't even check for them. We didn't see Winter or Meredith anywhere, so I didn't feel bad about not having the tickets.
When we got to our seats...six rows from the floor...Justin was out practicing his three point shots. Not bad, especially since he participates in Celebrity NBA.
The national anthem was sung by Jen Rae...excellent singer.
Tom Arnold, Pat O'Brian, and Sterling Sharpe were the announcers for the event. They came out and then the Daze were introduced. I kinda felt bad for them because they had Lance...on Sunday we would really know how sorry they were.
The Daze in attendance were:
Beverly Mitchell (actress - 7th Heaven), Troy Antunes (Nsync band member-bassist), Dave Cook (Nsync band member- keyboardist), Trevor Gunthrie (Soul Decision member), GQ (actor, On The Line), Donald Faison (actor, Murry on Clueless, Remember the Titans), Emanuelle Chriqui (Actress, On The Line), Darren Dewitt Henson (Nsync choreographer, actor- Soul Food), Christina Milian (singer), Frankie Muniz (actor- Malcolm in the Middle), Luducris (rapper), Shar Jackson (actress- Moesha), Boris Kodjoe (actor- Soul Food), Jc and Lance.
Then the Knights were introduced. The Knights in attendance for the day were:
Taye Diggs ( actor- How Stella Got Her Groove Back), Tigger (host -BET Rap City), Dante Thomas (singer), Dan Bouwman (Soul Decision member), Ken Lewko (Soul Decision member), Willa Ford (singer), Jermaine Dupri (CEO SoSo Def Records), Nate Butler (producer), Joey, Chris and Justin.
Chris was hilarious during his intro. He was wrestling with somebody and he gave them a wedgie! Too much...Justin started to run out, then he changed him mind and did the pimp walk out...what a dork.
The first event was the Shaq Shoe Race. The contestants had to dress themselves in a set of Shaq's jersey and shorts and run down to the basket and make a basket any way they could. After they make the basket, they have to ride mini tricycles back to their other team mates, and they give them the jersey and shorts. It was soo funny. Lance couldn't make his basket for crap. Justin cheated, he wasn't involved in the game and when he saw that his team member was struggling with the tricycle, he ran over and pushed them to the end. Soon it was just part of the game. I think the Knights won that event.
The three point shoot out was next. Poor Chris with his broken wrist couldn't anchor his shots. The participants were: Dave Cook, Justin, Chris, Frankie Muniz, Donald Faison. and Jermaine Dupri. The finalists were Dave Cook and Justin.
The slam dunk competetion was funny. Joey pulled his pants down and ran for the dunk. He scored a 51...Thats the highest anyone had ever gotten. Thanks in part to his sister giving him a eleven. Justin also scored high...but his dad was one of the judges. They were the finalists and Justin won in the finals.
Preformance: Don't know the guy's name...was that un-exciting...he sang two songs and slid across the floor with those shoes that have skates on them.
You Got Aim was next. That game was just using a slingshot, shooting shirts at targets in the audience. I almost caught 2 shirts, but one bounced off of my hand, and the other wizzed past my head. Who knows who won that event.
The Sumo Competetion was hiliarious. Joey looked funny in the outfit and Tom Arnold remarked that he looked like his first wife (Roseanne). Jermaine Dupri by far looked the funniest. The crotch of his outfit was down past his knees. I don't remember who won the contests. The girl's contest was different than the guys, because they realized that the contest wasn't working the way they orginally planned it.
Preformance:
Not So Boyband. They did two songs...same intro. It was cute. They always point to Joe Sr. and call him the 'Original Dirty Pop'...The funniest thing was that Joey was sitting on the sideline watching and whoever he was talking to asked about NSB and Joey pointed to them and said "That's my dad". Too cute...bet that Joey Sr. has been in that very situation and said,"That's my son."
Dunk Tank was next. Everyone except Chris ended up in the dunk tank. The rules went out the window. At first they were drawing names, but after a while they just picked people. Joey, Justin, Lance, JC, Pat O'Brian, Tom Arnold, and Melinda Bell ended up going through the dunk tank. After the dunk tank everyone who got wet, except Joey, went back into the locker room to change.
Preformance:
Christina Milian. She sang two songs. She is a good dancer, but I wasn't really feeling her music.
While we were waiting around after the dunk tank, Joey's sister Janine made a sign that said,"I (Heart) Lonnie" and she was encoraging us to chant it since we were right by the Knight's bench. She and the bodyguards were sitting by the bench too. Carly, Alicia and I started to shout "I Love Lonnie! I Love Lonnie" and Lonnie's face was all flushed, he was so embarrassed. The other bodyguards around him started to laugh. Then Willa Ford said, "It's ok, I love Lonnie too!" We were thinking, "That's great, we don't care...sit down." Soon after that Justin came out from changing, wearing a bright, colorful wig...like the kind you see on clowns...hilarious.
Finally it was time for the Obstacle Course. The course was for two people at a time, and started with running through tires, then across some balance beams, up a rope ladder and back down, over a wall, and then ended with riding tricycles around some baracades. The highlight of the whole thing was Lance beating JUSTIN! It was too good to be true since we all know how good Justin is at sports and how BAD Lance is. Lance beat Justin even after being physically restrained by some members of the Knights (Justin's team). The Obstacle Course ended the skills challenge, but not the day. We headed back to the hotel. Challenge Skills Challenge Pictures
Still no sign of Winter or Meredith.
5:00 PM
We hung out in our hotel before heading to the family dinner in Caesar's Palace in the Forum Shops. Remember this was a family get together ...LOL
8:30PM
Somehow Carly and I ended up by ourselves. After wandering around for a while we decided to go to The Mirage and Treasure Island. Finding nothing exciting, and not wanting to wait for the pirate show at Treasure Island to start, we crossed the street and headed back toward our hotel.
10:00PM
Carly and I were walking past the Flamingo and suddenly a bunch of people came running past us. Carly did a death grip on my arm , swung me around and says "OMG, it's JC!" Me, being slow said,"What?" and Carly grabbed my head and directed me toward the people running around us. Then I looked around until I noticed that indeed JC Chasez was right there running to take a picture in front of some flamingos. He wasn't alone. Also there were: Beverly Mitchell, Christina Milian, Trevor Gunthrie, Jermaine Dupri, Jordan Knight, Taye Diggs and a bunch of other people. There were so many people, celebrities, that it was hard to grasp who everyone was.

After they took the picture (and so did I...or so I thought), Jc, Trevor, Beverly and other DAZE team members went running down past the Flamingo. Carly and I waited there, since it was obvious that they would be coming back; their surburbans were parked in a outlet where we were standing. When they did come back, only like a minute later, we snapped a few pictures. Until then I had forgotten that the Challenge activities included a scavenger hunt. After Jc and everyone else left we thought about where else they could go. We figured that the conclusion of the hunt would be at MGM Grand since that is where they were staying, so we headed down there. ( later we would find out that we were wrong...it ended in the Venetian...that explains why we saw the suburbans heading north a little later...)
11:30 PM
Carly and I end up at the Rum Jungle. It's a hoppin' place...would be better if we could get in. Decide to go get some Krispy Kremes and go back to our hotel.
12 AM
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGAN! We called and left a happy b-day message for her since she declined to come with us to Las Vegas. Walking from Excalibur to the Aladdin is very long when you are tired. We stopped into MGM Grand to see if anyone out by Studio 54 heard anything. It was pretty silent and Studio 54 had a huge line for it. Rum Jungle looked like more fun though.
12:45 AM
The middle of the strip at night is scary. I though people might jack our donuts or something.
1:15 AM
Home sweet home. Bedtime.
