Can't Fight The Feeling Chapter Eight

"Yeah, I'll see you later." Justin said, kissing Aubrey softly, and walking to his car.

Two months had passed since their first time together, and they had been sleeping together ever since. They still weren't officially a couple though, which bothered Aubrey a little. She liked being with him, but she was starting to feel like it wasn't enough. She wanted to know he cared about HER.

"Aubrey likes him alot, though." Jessica said, taking a drink of her dr. pepper.

"Well, I don't mean this in a bad way, cuz J.T. IS my best friend, but he just isn't the kind of guy who wants a relationship. He seems to like her, too, but he just wants to have fun, and..." Joey was silent for a moment, pondering whether or not he should finish the sentence.

"What?" Jessica asked, although she was sure she knew what else it was that Justin wanted.

"Nothing, forget it." Joey mumbled.

Later that night, Justin drove to Aubrey's house, imagining her beautiful green eyes sparkling, as he drove. "What's my problem?" he thought, trying to shake all thoughts of her. He parked next to the sidewalk, and got out of the car, walking toward the house. The sound of the door swinging open startled him, as the light flooding from inside the house tore through the darkness. He looked up to see Aubrey in the doorway, watching him seriously. Suddenly he thought about how gorgeous she looked, even when she wasn't smiling.

"What's wrong?" he asked, nervously. "So, what do YOU wanna do?" he asked, smiling wickedly.

"I don't know. Why?" Aubrey answered, giggling quietly.

He walked toward her, as she backstepped to avoid him running into her. He kept moving toward her, until she backed against the wall. Justin smiled, and kissed her, savoring the taste of her soft lips. Aubrey tensed up, wanting him, but still, wanting to just talk to him.

"Justin, don't.." She stopped, as he kissed her again, passionately. "Come on." he whispered, pulling her to the couch. "But, I..." Aubrey began, as he layed down next to her. Finally, she gave in, and they made love. At least, for Aubrey, that's what it was.

Sitting on the steps leading up to her porch, Aubrey took Justin's hand in hers. They sat there in the darkness, both quiet, watching the stars.

"Are you okay?" Justin's voice interrupted the silence.

"Mmhmm." Aubrey mumbled, nodding.

"Good." he replied, standing up, and helping her to her feet.

"I gotta go, but I'll call you tomorrow." he told her quickly, kissing her cheek, and walking away.

Aubrey watched him go, wishing he wanted to spend more time with her, besides just when they were "physically" expressing their feelings. Sighing, she walked inside.
