Can't Fight The Feeling Chapter Two

Opening his eyes, Justin blinked slowly, and looked around the dark room. He glanced over at the alarm clock, and saw it was 1:46 in the morning. He'd been dreaming of Aubrey. He rolled over, and tried to go back to sleep, but found it difficult, and kept thinking of her. It was weird, because he'd never been so attracted to a girl. He lay there thinking about how gorgeous, sweet, happy, and funny she was, and how he couldn't wait to see her the next day at school.

The next morning, as Aubrey was getting ready for school, she looked in the mirror in her room, and decided to change her outfit. She didn't want to admit it to herself, but she was trying to look her best to impress Justin. Finally, she decided on a pair of faded blue jeans, and a pale green sweater, that brought out the green in her pretty eyes. She went to the kitchen and fixed poptarts, when she heard a car honking outside. It was Jessica, and she waited impatiently for the poptarts. She grabbed them the second they were done, got her backpack, and ran outside, jumping in the car.

"You look nice." Jessica said, peeling out as she drove off.

"Thanks, so do you...Speed demon." Jessica just giggled, and continued to race down the road at her usual fast speed. She kept her eyes glued to the road, but raised an eyebrow, and smiled widely, as she asked, "So does it have something to do with Justin?" Aubrey glared at her, and asked what she meant.

"You looking all cute, are ya trying to look good for you know who?"

Aubrey replied defensively, "NO! Yeah right, I think not."

"Mmhmm." Jessica mumbled.

In 2nd hour, Aubrey and Jessica walked in and sat down, and Justin was already there.

"Hey, you look cute today." Justin said politely.

"Thanks," Aubrey began, smiling, "You're not lookin' bad yourself."

Justin grinned, happy to know she found him attractive too. Jessica heard everything, but stared ahead, pretending to be oblivious. Finally, Aubrey decided to give Justin her number. She wrote it down on a piece of paper, and folded it up. When the bell rang, at the end of the hour, she stood up, and walked out quickly, knowing Justin would follow. She was right. He hurried after her, trying to make conversation.

"So do you have a boyfriend?"

She smiled at him, and said, "What do you think?", winking. Then she slipped the folded up paper into his pocket, and walked away. He pulled it out, and unfolded it quickly. Seeing her number scrawled out, he smiled triumphantly, and went to class.
