"What?" Justin asked.
Joey shook his head. He knew it was the wrong time to tell Justin that he was about to be reunited with the love of his life. Especially with Makayla there, all over Justin. He tried to act normal, so Justin wouldn't notice. Makayla put her hand on Justin's thigh, and moved closer to him. Justin smiled, realizing he was going to get what he wanted from her.
"Here you go." Aubrey said, setting the two drinks down next to Justin and the girl with him. She saw the girl's hand on Justin's leg, and felt a pang of jealousy. She prayed that Justin wouldn't look up, but he did.
"Here you go babe." he said, handing her a 10 dollar bill. As she took it, and thanked him, Justin nodded, and looked up. He sucked in a breath when he saw the beautiful green eyes sparkling at him in that familiar way. He couldn't breathe, and he couldn't move. He looked over at Joey, who looked down, feeling guilty, for not telling him sooner.
Aubrey stood there, not knowing what to do. She'd forgotten how beautiful this boy was. Well, he was a man now. Even when she saw him a few moments ago, it hadn't struck her. Until now, when he looked straight into her eyes. She felt a sudden urge to run her fingers through his blonde curls, and kiss him the way she used to. For a moment, there was nothing she wanted to do more. Suddenly, she jerked out of her fantasy. She stared a second longer, then turned and walked away, swaying her hips as she moved.
"Well, you two sure got along well, huh?" Makayla blurted out coldly.
Justin looked at her. "Whatever." He figured she'd get angry and leave, but she didn't give up. She stayed, and was even more aggressive than before. After a few drinks, she was on Justin's lap, kissing his cheeks. He didn't pay much attention. He was too busy watching the waitresses walk by, waiting for that certain one he couldn't keep his eyes off of. Makayla realized it, and made an extra effort to block his view.
She placed her hand on his chin, and forced him to look at her. "You want another drink?" Justin nodded, and she ordered him another. Soon, Justin had had too much, and barely knew where he was. Makayla knew it was time to make her move. "You want to come with me?" she said in a breathy voice, standing up and taking his hand. Justin stood up weakly, and followed her out the door, barely able to walk in a straight line.
Aubrey set a drink down on the table, and thanked the group of men for the tips. She glanced up, and felt more anger and jealousy than she'd ever felt, as she saw Justin leaving with the girl.
