"I don't know what to do. I'm definitely keeping the baby, I mean, but if he's going to act like this, then I can't see him. I can't stop thinking about him already, so if I have to see him at school everyday, it'll be too hard to deal with." Aubrey confided.
Jessica looked up sharply, "What? What do you mean you can't stop thinking about him? You don't deserve to be treated like that. You can do so much better."
Aubrey knew Jessica was right, but still, she knew something had to be wrong. "I know Jess, but he was acting so weird, I've never seen him like that. Something was wrong, he wasn't himself. Usually, he's just...so perfect."
Jessica shook her head in disgust. "Well, obviously you're still in love with him. But you need to try and get over it. He's just not right for you."
Jessica looked at her best friend, saw her eyes start to tear up, and immediately regretted her words. "Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to be so harsh, I just hate to see you get hurt." she crooned, hugging Aubrey tightly.
Aubrey layed her head down on Jessica's shoulder, and closed her eyes, fighting to stop crying. Finally, she realized what she wanted to do.
"Jess, I'm gonna change schools, there are only a couple of months left anyway. My cousin Lisa goes there, so it's not like I'd have to worry about getting to know everyone, she'd be there to help me out."
She looked to see Jessica's reaction, and saw the disappointment in her eyes. "You're going to go to Mesa? But Aubrey, I can't finish my senior year without my best friend."
Aubrey interrupted quickly, "Oh, you won't, it's just DURING school, I'll still see you every day. I just cannot handle being around Justin, and knowing I can't have him. I'm sorry."
Jessica reluctantly nodded, and smiled weakly. "Okay, if that's what you want to do. I'll help you any way I can."
Aubrey smiled, but it was cut short by a sudden realization. "Now I just have to figure out how to tell my parents."
