"Dude, you're just scared she likes you, because you like HER so much." he shot back. Justin sat up straight.
"What the hell are you talking about? Yeah right. She's just another girl, and yeah I like messing around with her, but that's IT!" Justin practically screamed at his friend. Joey smiled, despite his frustration at Justin.
"Then what are you getting so defensive about?"
"Whatever," Justin said, and left.
"What are you gonna do? How are you going to tell him?" Jessica asked gently.
"I have NO idea. But I have to do it soon, before I chicken out." Aubrey answered quietly.
"Hello?" Justin said into the phone.
"Justin?"
"Yeah, this is him. What's goin' on Aubrey?" he asked smiling.
"Nothing really. Well, something I guess. Justin, could you come over tonight?"
Suddenly, Justin remembered how clingy she'd been acting, and couldn't handle it.
"I don't know, I'm kinda busy tonight." he answered reluctantly, wishing he could see her, just not being able to deal with his own feelings.
"Justin, I really need to see you." she insisted stubbornly.
"Aubrey....alright, whatever, I guess I can come by real quick. What time?"
"I don't know, like 7:00, I guess, is that alright?" she asked.
"Yeah, whatever. I gotta go, okay." he said shortly.
"Yeah, bye." Aubrey said, her feelings hurt.
Justin layed down in bed, thinking about everything all at once. How much he liked her, but didn't want to have deep feelings for her. And also how physically attractive he found her. Suddenly he was excited about that night, thinking maybe she just wanted to hook up again.
"Hey." Aubrey said nervously, closing the door after Justin stepped inside. He nodded, and threw off his coat, dropping it on the ground. Right away, he grabbed her hand, and led her to her room. Pulling her inside, he pushed her down onto the bed, and layed down, kissing her hungrily.
"Justin, no." Aubrey said, pushing him off, "That's not why I had you come over."
He quickly became angry. He knew she wanted to talk to him, but didn't want to admit how he felt, even to himself.
"What's your problem?" he growled angrily.
Shocked at the way he was acting, Aubrey quietly answered, "There is no problem, but I need to talk to you, and it's about more than just getting what YOU want from me."
Justin glared at her, "If you think I'm in this for a relationship with you, then you're dead wrong. I just want to have a good time, I thought you knew that."
"JUSTIN, I know. I realize what's IMPORTANT to YOU." Aubrey began, "but there's something I have to tell you, that's alot more important."
Standing up off the bed, Justin said loudly, "I don't CARE what you want to say, it doesn't matter to me. I THOUGHT you were cool, but I guess not. You're just like every other girl, you have to have some guy in LOVE with you, it can't just be fun, can it?"
Aubrey was so mad at him, she had to fight back her tears. He could see the tears welling up in her eyes, and felt sick seeing how badly he was hurting her. But the guilt of it made it even harder for him to show how he felt. Aubrey wanted to scream at him, but she didn't know what else to say. She wanted to tell him she hated him. And she wanted to tell him she loved him. Instead, she said nothing, just bit her lip. She didn't realize how hard she was biting down until she tasted blood. She watched Justin walk out the door.
