The Buzzards have won THREE 3 on 3 intramural championships at Indiana University. In 2000, the Buzzards won their first ever 5 on 5 championship at Assembly Hall. After losing their opening game to the Briscoe 9 Shockers, the Buzzards rolled off seven consecutive wins, including a smashing of Triple Threat to claim the title.

With an off season work out schedule of broken legs, cackling, College Football 2001, and listening to Stankonia the Buzzards look primed to repeat as intramural champions. Only the likes of J-Murda, Angelo Grecco, Mack Lee, and Levron appear to have the firepower to challenge The Buzzard reign. Watch for the Buzzards this year at IU and look for some members to be attending the first ever J-Murda-Axis & Allies tournament.

Sunday, February 4 at 10 pm-- Buzzards 74-Splunkers 34-Mercy Rule

Sunday, February 11 at 10 pm-- Buzzards 70-Three Wise Dickheads 45-Mercy Rule

Monday, February 12 at 10 pm-- Buzzards 100-Rabid Rastafarian 52-Mercy Rule

First Round vs Sigma Chi D-Sunday Feb 18 at 5pm--Buzzards 55-Sigma Chi D 41

Second Round vs Sigma Pi C-Friday Feb 23 at 7pm--Buzzards 65-Sigma Pi Pricks 55 (We only had five guys for this one and they were cheap shot artists)

Third Round vs Fun Police-Tuesday Feb 27 at 9pm--Buzzards 58-Fun Police 55(Double OT vs the volley ball team)

Fourth Round vs Massage Therapy-Friday March 2 at 7pm--Buzzards 51-Massage Therapy 46

Sidenotes from the game:

1. Worst officiating ever, the foul ratio was over 2:1

2. Phil, their captain says, "We just know how to play a game that is closely officiated" They sure did

3. Garrett blows a lay-up when they are down three with under a minute to go. Needless to say, he slumped off the court at the end not saying anything to anyone. Wasyl noted this as a fitting end to his intramural season. Also, did anyone else notice he was wearing last year's buzzard shirt underneath his jersey? How clever of him

Fifth Round vs Comedas-Tuesday March 20 at 7pm--Buzzards 61-Comedas 56 (we had a much bigger lead, but we screwed around at the end of the game a little too much)

Sixth Round vs Strange Brew-Wednesday March 21 at 8 pm--Buzzards 55-Strange Brew 45 (these dudes were talking the most trash at the start of a game of any team we have played, but luckily we defeated the self-proclaimed, khaki wearing J-Dub)

Championship Game at Assembly Hall Sunday, March 25 at 4pm vs Case a Day-Buzzards 56-Case a Day 47 The Buzzards did not really play up to their full potential, but were happy to be repeating another championship run. Long live the Buzzards.
