Nick and Rachel came downstairs from the guest room where they were having their little thing going on, while all the guys who went upstairs thought that they were inside their room. They were oblivious that they completely interrupted AJ's thoughts.
"Hey AJ!" Rachel greeted gleefully . AJ smiled half heartedly.
"Where is everybody?" Nick asked patting AJ's back and sitting on a chair next to him.
"Eavesdropping on you guys" AJ said coldly.
"Eavesdropping?" Nick asked curiously.
"They wanted to know if you were having sex or not" AJ replied harshly.
Rachel widened her eyes and went upstairs, with Nick close behind, finding all of the guys with their ears pressed against their door.
"What do you think you're doing?" Rachel asked in disbelief.
Everyone jumped from their spots and faced Rachel and Nick. Amy was the first one to talk.
"We were just wondering if you guys were okay"
"Actually, we're just fine" Rachel smiled as she shook her head. "I can't believe you just did that!"
Nick started chuckling behind her and eventually, everybody started laughing.
"So, did you or didn't you?" Brian asked throwing an arm around Leighanne's shoulders.
"That's for us to know and for you to find out" Nick said, grabbing Rachel by her waist and pulling her close to him.
"OHHHH they did!" Amy declared taking Randy's hand. "But now... we gotta go... we're enjoying this a little bit too much and we forgot about ourselves" she said winking at her boyfriend, now fiancee.
Brian and Leighanne started laughing. "I think we're leaving too"
"Alrighty then... have fun you guys..." Rachel said, emphasizing on the word 'fun'.
Everyone said their goodbyes and eventually they were all out of the house. Rachel and Nick returned to the patio where AJ was.
Nick sat on the same chair that he was and Rachel sat on his lap and grinned at him.
"What do you think you're doing?" Nick asked, looking at her strangely.
"I'm sitting on MY husband's lap. Any problem with that?" she replied with a smile, putting her arms around his neck and kissing him on the lips.
"Not at all!" he said, putting his arms around her waist and kissing her ear.
AJ rolled his eyes and shook his head , getting up from his chair and getting out of the house.
Rachel and Nick looked at each other.
"What's up with him?" Nick asked Rachel.
Rachel shrugged indifferently and hugged Nick tighter.
"Maybe he wants to be with you"
"Nick, don't start" Rachel warned.
" I was just saying that MAYBE he wants to be with you... and since he knows that he can't... he gets mad at it" Nick replied kissing her neck.
Rachel kissed Nick's lips very subtly but then he pulled her closer to him and kissed her passionately. He loved everything about her. Her eyes, her face, her hair, not to mention her lips… everything that he could imagine. He couldn't let her go. Never.
Everything about them seemed so perfect now. Rachel truly believed that. Their bodies fit perfectly with one another, everything about them was great, not to mention their love for each other. Nick took Rachel's hand and kissed it savoring every single second of it.
"I love you baby" Rachel whispered, caressing Nick's face.
"I love you" Nick said, getting up from his chair and carrying her upstairs.
When they were in their room, Nick put Rachel in their bed as she started unbuttoning his shirt, while he was busy kissing her neck. When Rachel started unbuttoning his pants, they heard a faint cry that came from the other room. Rachel started laughing but Nick was more disappointed.
"Great timing" he whispered as he laid down next to Rachel.
"I'll go" Rachel said, referring to Colin who was crying in the other room. She got up from the bed and gave a kiss to Nick. "I'll be right back"
As she got closer to the room, Colin's cries were harder. When she opened the door, Colin's eyes shot open and his arms were extended, so that Rachel would carry him.
"What's wrong sweetie?" Rachel cooed softly.
"Monsters momma" Colin said in between sobs, pointing to the nearest closet.
"Aww baby, there are no monsters in there..."
"But momma, I saw them!"
Rachel sighed softly. "Do you want to sleep with mommy and daddy tonight?"
Colin nodded his head eagerly. "No monster's there!" he said with a grin.
"No baby, no monsters there" she smiled as she carried him to the master bedroom where Nick was waiting for her. Just a split second after Rachel went inside the room with Colin, Nick's eyes widened. His night was completely ruined, he really thought that this was going to be their `special' night.
"Sorry, sweetie… Colin is seeing monsters" Rachel said with a smile and rolling her eyes.
"Daddy… monsters big and scary" Colin said nodding his head keenly and ducking his head in between Rachel's hair every once in a while.
"Oh buddy… you have excellent timing" Nick sighed as he took Colin from Rachel's arms. Rachel had to laugh at his comment. She then went by his side and stroked Nick's hair. "Later"
After Nick had laid Colin on the bed, he got up and looked at Rachel.
"Momma, no sleep" he said, as if he had heard what Nick and Rachel had in mind.
"Sweetie you got to go to sleep… remember that tomorrow you're going to see Margie" she smiled, referring to Colin's new neighbor and friend.
"Margie!" Colin grinned widely.
"But if you want to see her you have to go to sleep" Rachel stated sweetly as she stroked his hair.
"Okay momma" he said as he closed his eyes. Soon after that, he fell asleep.
"We are going to have another heartthrob in the family" Rachel whispered to Nick.
"Who, Colin?" Nick asked curiously.
Rachel nodded and rested her head on his chest. "Like father like son" she responded.
"Only the best" Nick grinned as he pulled her closer to him and kissed her forehead. A couple of minutes later Rachel turned to look at Nick and smiled.
"Are we up for tonight?" Nick grinned. It was as if he had read her mind.
"We don't have any space here" she said, motioning towards the bed and pointing to Colin who was sound asleep.
"Don't worry about that" he said taking her hand and guiding her towards the studio. After they got there, Nick kissed her passionately, bringing her towards the black leather couch that was there.
"I love you Nick"
Everything seemed to be getting into it's original place. Although Rachel still had some blank spots in her mind, she knew in her heart that this was where she wanted to be for the rest of her life; in the tender yet strong arms of her husband and waking up to him every day. Life couldn't get any better.
