The last year or so has been a whirlwind. We have pretty much been working nonstop. It’s been utterly exhausting; between being in the studio, coming out with the new album and then going on a worldwide tour. On the other hand, getting to experience all the different cultures was awesome. If we weren’t where we are now, we would have never gotten this chance. Our favorite one, I think was Japan. Nick and Howie loved it over there. Sometimes, I think we should have left them there.

Now that we are back home, things have settled down a bit. The fans over there were a little crazy. We love our fans, but sometimes it can get a little too out of control. We had a few scary moments, but it all turned out okay. We are just looking forward to a little time off for some much needed R & R. Can’t wait to go home…

It’s been a long couple of months. Things always seem to go from good to bad to worse. While being gone for several weeks, we all came back to some unsettling news. Somehow, there had been a sum of money that had gone missing. When all of us had added everything up, all five of us were short a big chunk of money, not to mention the stage crew and everyone else. Something was mighty fishy but we didn’t have any proof.

Kevin was going to use some of the money on his wedding that was set for next summer. Nick was going to go house hunting with it in mind. Howie was going to use some to help with his foundation. AJ was planning to use some of his to help out his mother and I was going to use some of mine to help expand the HHC and various other things. As of now, none of them were possible.

We didn’t know exactly what to do first, but we knew that we needed a lawyer. We had to get to the bottom of it, but that would take time. We also didn’t want any more to end up going missing either. Oy vey… Life is taxing, isn’t it?

The first people that we thought that might be trying to cheat us was our creator and record label. Then, we started thinking and we also suspected that our own manager might be the one that was doing it. It seems that we can’t trust anyone in this business. We confronted Johnny and of course, he denied it. He claimed that he started noticing it too and was looking into it. I am not sure that any of us believe that.

Over the next several weeks, we had contacted so many people. Come to find out, the record label had sent us the money that we were owed, but conventionally, we never saw a dime of it. We have worked our butts off over the last year and a half without much a break at all and this is what we get? We were fed up. We again confronted Lou and Johnny and neither one wanted to fess up. So.. we ended up involving the authorities and then going further by suing and making them pay back everything they owed plus interest. On top of that, Lou ended up in jail for fraud and embezzlement, along with Johnny, only he got less.

After several months of legal issues, we decided that it was time to take a much needed break. We weren’t breaking up, just taking time to ourselves to rest and do whatever we want to do that we haven’t had a chance to do in such a long time. Our bodies needed so much rest after filming at all hours of the day and night, touring the world, and being on stage almost every night. It takes a lot of you! The pressures of the job are just so overwhelming: you can’t imagine.
