Nick, Sky, and Brian sat at a table in the hotel room. Both Brian and Nick were drinking coffee, and Nick's free hand was holding Sky's. She was
still a bit shaken up from the nightmare.
"Okay," Brian began as the dark brown liquid slid down his throat. "I think you guys should explain what has been going on for the past few days. Start from the beginning, the very beginning."
"Well, at the party, Sky caught my attention. There was something about her that made me feel like,I dunno how to explain it.. Well, it was almost like she was a magnet and I was just drawn to her," Nick tried to tell Brian of the immense feelings that had occurred inside of him not too long ago.
"So, then he called my name. His voice was so familiar! His face was so familiar! I knew I knew him! but I didn't know him, he didn't know me either but we didn't" Speaking in bursts of words, and not sentences, Sky appeared to be out of it. Nick had seen "that look" in her eyes, countless times, and now it appeared again.
"Then what happened?" Brian asked.
"We started talking. We were basically not saying anything then again, but we were still kind of saying pretty important things. Like, we were saying that we had
these feelings, like we knew each other. Oh yeah! We also knew each others names before we told them. It was so weird, her name just rolled off my tongue," Nick continued the story.
"After I left Nick, I was with my best friend, Lisa. We were just talking, when all of a sudden my lip was covered with blood. It was out of no where! I went to the nurse, and she said I needed stitches. couldn't believe it! I hadn't done anything, and all of a sudden I needed stitches! The nurse was really surprised I had this injury, because a man had just come in with the exact same one a minute before. She said her husband was driving the man to the hospital, and I should go with them."
"When Sky left, I got some coke. I went to take a sip of it, and the stupid glass was chipped. I cut my lip really badly. It was bleeding like crazy. Some guy told me there was a nurse on board. I went to her, and she said I needed to go to the hospital to get stitches. I went with her husband and we were about to leave, when we were told to wait, because some girl also needed stitches. So we waited, and then Sky showed up!"
"We drove to the hospital and sat in the waiting room, where Nick and I discovered we had another injury in common other than this one. We had both
just gotten the casts removed from our broken legs."
"I got this feeling inside of me, this intense feeling. I wanted to know which leg she broke, no, I needed to know."
"I broke my left, and so did he."
"It was all freaking me out. I wanted to talk, but she got called in to get her stitches. She told me to meet her in the parking lot."
"We met there later. There was something floating in the air. It was a camera and it turned into a car."
"We got in, and we flew! We flew in a car! Aww man, Rok, you should have been there man!"
"It was horrible!"
"It was awesome! Anyway, we met the next day and ran some um, tests, where we concluded that we definitely were connected physically."
"We both went home, but in the middle of the night, Nick called me. He sounded so upset, I had to go talk to him."
"When I got home, I fell asleep and had the worst dream, nightmare, I had ever had in my life, up until that point anyway. I needed to tell Sky, since, well, she was in it, and also because I knew she would be the only one to understand."
"We were talking, and I said something about feeling like I knew everything about him when..."
"I knew what she was feeling!"
"And I knew what he was feeling too. On one side of my mind, I had my own feelings, and the other side was filled with Nick's emotions."
"That's when we figured out we were connected mentally. So, we both went back to our rooms. I fell asleep."
"So did I, but I had this, nightmare!" Sky's lip was quivering. Nick put his hand on her shoulder. "She had the most horrible nightmare that there ever was, I swear! I know, because when she came knocking on the
door, and I hugged her, I felt it! I saw it!" I could have sworn I lived it," Nick's eyes were foggy. "And that's basically the story."
"Wow," was the only syllable to escape Brian's lips.
Sky looked both guys in the eye and asked, "So, what do we do now?"
