Brian stood still as he watched the casket of his fiancée be lowered into the ground. They were supposed to get married in another month. He couldn't speak. There weren't any words that could express his feelings. All he could feel was the pain. After the casket had been lowered he placed the red roses down into the ground.

"Good-bye Allison." he whispered. He walked out to his car and drove back home and was greeted by his dog Tyke. He was holding his ball.

"Not now boy," Tyke whined. Brian ignored it. He walked into their bedroom and sat down on the bed.

Yesterday…

"Brian how could you do this to me? We're getting married," she yelled.

"AJ took me out drinking last night and I had a little TOO much to drink," he explained. Bit it was just damn excuse to her.

"You can control what you are drinking just because you were out with AJ doesn't mean you were drunk! Talk for goodness sakes," Allison yelled.

"Never mind. If you aren't going to believe me then just go," he said.

"Brian! I never can believe you anymore. Every time I let you go out with AJ you end up sleeping with some girl or you come home drunk of your ass,"

"That's not true,"

"Yes it is! And you know it," it was now just a head on screaming match. Brian honestly tried to control his drinking problem, but everything always ended up the same. Brian didn't say anything.. he just walked off.

"Fine! If you don't want to believe me just go on and do that," Brian shut the door. Brian got out a box from his dresser drawer. He opened it and saw the diamond necklace he was going to give her that night.

"Why did I do it? Why can't I control myself? But I was telling the truth about last night. I didn't do anything. I wasn't even with AJ! I understand why she doesn't believe me. Why can't she believe me this time?" Brian said. He got up and put the necklace back. The door opened and Allison walked in "I'm leaving! I can't take this anymore Brian,"

"Allison please! Don't leave," he begged.

"You've said that so many time and every time I seem to take you back it happens again Brian. I am fed up with it. I am leaving,: she packed a few things and walked out the door.

"Allison please!" Brian yelled. She didn't even turn around. Brian felt a tear roll down his cheek. She was gone.

Minutes later he heard a gun shot out his window. He thought of Allison. He looked out his window and her car wasn't there. He quickly grabbed his coat and walked out of his apartment. He looked down the street Allison's car was there. It wasn't moving it was just sitting there. Brian ran down to her car. Allison had been shot. She was still alive.

"What happened?"

"Someone fired a shot from that window. I don't think he meant to shoot me. He was shooting at a guy that walked by the same time I came driving down the street," she explained. She started to cry. Brian opened the door. He helped her get out and move to the back seat. He was going to drive her to the hospital.

"Help! My fiancée got shot. She's bleeding please help me," he yelled.

"Where is she?"

"She's in my car." they ran out to the car. She was barely even alive. She lost a lot of blood.

"Let's take her in. It doesn't look good," Brian's eyes filled up with tears. He couldn't imagine life without her by his side. He waited patiently in the waiting room. Not more than 15 minutes later the doctor came out. He didn't look to happy.

"Brian I'm sorry. She didn't make it," Brian started to cry and walked out of the hospital.

Brian suddenly woke up. He didn't know he had fallen asleep. He got up and looked in his drawer and saw the necklace in it.

"I'm sorry Allison," he whispered. He never got the chance to say sorry. He regretted ever doing anything with anyone.
