“This the place?” Nick asked while pulling over a small parking space. “How cheap are they with these tiny parking spaces, good god!”
“Quit bitchin’ and get out of the car!” Marc extorted followed by giving Nick a flick in the air and then running out of the vehicle and made his way inside the shop without bother to wait for his friend.
Nick followed trail inside, where he found Marc sitting at a corner table of the store as he ran his eyes through the menu selections.
“Ooh, those are two guys I wouldn’t mind being at their beck and call!” Ann exclaimed while plastering a sly smile on her face as she eyed both Marc, a guy with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, and Nick, the opposite of Marc’s features: golden blonde hair and bright blue eyes that seemed to twinkle whenever he speaks.
“Down girl!” Riley exclaimed as she grabbed her notepad and made her way down to where the two new customers were seated. “May I take your order?”
“Yeah, what’s your specialty this morning?” Marc asked as he eyed Riley head to foot.
“We HAD some fresh apple pie but that’s all gone, so we only have cherry and blueberry pie,” Riley answered without bothering to take her eye out of her notepad. She felt her heart race as she realized that Ann was right about the way these two new guys looked.
“I’ll just have a cup of mochaccino latte,” Nick ordered while handing Riley his menu book.
“I’ll have a…uhm…. hmmm…let’s see…what do you think is better, the cherry or blueberry pie?” he asked Riley for her opinion.
“I’ll personally recommend the homemade apple pie,” Riley claimed
“But you said you’re out of that”
“Smart guy!” she silently said but still with a tone of sarcasm.
“He’ll have the blueberry pie!” Nick interrupted while smiling at Riley and giving Marc a glare.
“Alright fine, I’ll have a blueberry pie and an espresso…decaf!”
“All right, so that’s one mochaccino latte, a slice of blueberry pie and an espresso…decaf! Coming right up,” Riley said while walking away to place their order with Ann.
