Lance was in the drivers seat as Chris sat besides him and the other three are in the back of the rented, white, Lexis driving down to their hotel. Justin's mom awaited them to arrive home from a long night.
"So did you guys have fun tonight?" Justin said as he pressed down the button to open the window. He was directing the question to the three lonely guys, Lance, Chris, and Joey but they seemed to sit in silence.
" Well I had a great time!" JC said happily slamming his hands on his knees.
Lance sat there staring at the road. He didn't open his mouth for what he might say could put him in danger from Justin. He didn't know her very well but he could already tell that his heart was crying out for Emily. He shook his head to try to get the image out of his mind about what Justin could do to him but the figment of her dirty blond hair and her sparkling blue eyes, with that shiny smile kept appearing in his head.
" So Lance, what do you think about Emily?" Justin said as he leaned forward from the back seat and placed his chin on the back of Lance's chair. Lance sat in shock that he asked the question the moment he was thinking about her but he answered him.
" I think you two are great together. She's a great catch in your 'TimberLAKE'!" he joked nervously as he turned into the parking lot for the hotel, Hilton.
"Nice joke Lance. It really will make someone laugh. Waz up with dat? You never joke around. You nervous or somthin'?" Justin questioned as he sat back in his seat and crossed his arms. Joey sat in there as he stared out the window and JC was scrunched in the middle just staring out the windshield.
"I'm not nervous," he replied quickly, "just a little tired." he said as he ran his fingers through his bleach, blond spikey hair.
"Whatever Lansten. But do ya'll really think so? I mean I'm kinda scared though. Wit her being a fan and all. You guys saw her room. She seems to think that I'm better than her in someway or something. I don't know how to make her forget about da fame and just see me as me." he spit out. The others didn't know what to say. They totally agreed with what Justin had to say. Without saying a word, Lance parked the car and they all walked up to their hotel room where they were greeted by Justin's mom. Justin gave her a hug as she rubbed him on the back and fixed his flannel shirt.
In the Dorms with Emily and Deanna
...........the phone kept ringing until Jeremy's answering mahine picked up. I didn't understand where could he be at 11:30 at night. I decided not to leave a message. I'd call him first thing in the morning. I hung up the phone and rushed over to Emily. I couldn't wait to start talking about JC. He was perfect.
I explained to her what had really happened at the mall and what we talked about in the park. Emily listened patiently, waiting for her turn to talk. Once I was done blabbing about JC which took a good hour or so, she got her chance. She squeeled out all the stuff he had said and I felt so happy for her. They really made a great couple. It was just what Emily needed. You could just say these past few years weren't the best for her and guys. She had gotten hurt bad and never trusted anyone to hold her heart again. Until now that is.
By time it was three o'clock we had said everything there was to say about JC and Justin and more. We finally decided to call it a night and go to bed. Since her roommate wasn't going to be here for the summer, I got to sleep in that bed. I fell asleep without a worry, only thinking about JC.
Emily and I are late sleepers so we never wake up after 10 in the morning. She wasn't working tours until late today so we planned a day of sleeping peacefully for once. That wasn't until I was awoke by a knock on the door. I got up slowly as I let out a large yawn and covered my mouth as I sat up straight. I looked over to Emily sound asleep I didn't want to disturb her. I unsteadily walked over to the mirror to fix my hair a little bit and walked to the door.
" Who is it?" i called as I looked through the small peek hole. I didn't have my contacts in so I couldn't see clearly.
" It's a surprise!" I heard a guys voice call out. The only guy that I know that could be here this early was JC. I unlocked the door quickly and without looking I opened the door and swung my arms around him.
" Oh JC!" I screamed into his ear as I kissed his cheek roughly.
"JC? Who the hell is JC? I'm Jeremy remember? Have I been gone that long?" Jeremy asked unhappily. Oh my god! I didn't just do that!
"Jeremy! What are you doing here?" I managed to squeak out. My mind was cringe. What if JC walked down the hall and saw us. I would ruin my chances with him forever! "Get in here! Don't stand out there in the hall," I said trying to sound cool, "just don't be very loud, you might wake Emily up." I whispered to him. As I led him in the room, I forgot to close the door, leaving it wide open for anyone to look in.
"Well, thanks for the nice hello. I thought you would be happy to see me. I went to Emily's parent's house and they told me you girls were at her dorm. I decided to drop in since we never really got the chance to say goodbye." he told me quietly. With that he kissed me, a deep kiss, that took my breath away. But, it was nothing like the ways JC kissed me. I slowly opened my eyes, to see four eyes glaring at me.
"What the hell do you think your doing?" JC screamed, so loud that he woke Emily up. Justin could tell JC was mad, so he tried to hold JC back, but it didn't work. JC dropped the rose he was carrying for Deanna and lunged at Jeremy. Emily, who was still trying to wake up saw this and started screaming at the top of her lungs. Justin dropped his rose and ran over to her to try to calm her down.
"JC!!!!!! Stop it! I can explain." I yelled trying to get him to lay off Jeremy.
"Oh really? You can huh? Well, I don't wanna here it." He screamed at her. he ran out of Emily's dorm room and sped back to the hotel.
"Great! Now I don't have a ride home!" Justin whined as he pounded his fist against the bed.
"Oh shut up Justin! Emily can always take you home! But now what do I do? Jeremy, this is all your fault! I never wanted to go back out with you. That night I was distracted and just said yes because I didn't hear your question. I couldn't just turn around and dump you. But, down here I found someone who I really like and it's not you so I think you should just go back to Chicago. And for now, leave right this second!" I screamed at his face. I didn't even let him reply. I was so pissed right now, I didn't care about anything he did. I pushed him out of the room, and slammed the door shut.
I put my back against the door and slid down it until I reached the floor. I burst out into tears. I heard someone move on the bed and remembered that Emily and Justin were in the room. They both got up and came to each of my sides. Emily just gave me a long hug. She started crying because she couldn't stand seeing me hurt like his. I understood how she felt. I had shed tears for her before too. Now it was her turn to comfort me.
Justin broke the sound of tears and sniff. "Deanna, don't worry about it. I'm sure JC will understand. I'll try to talk to him. He's not one of those guys who will just run away from a girl forever. He may be mad now, but he'll get over it. Trust me on dis." he said with a comforting tone.
I smiled at him and started laughing.
"What's so funny?" he asked.
"It's just your accent. It matches perfectly with Emily's. It's so cute to hear you two together, that it's funny!" I said with a laugh.
"Well, get used to it!" he answered. I threw my hands around both of them and started crying again.
"So, when are you going to talk to JC?" I said between sobs.
"Well, if you and Emily wish to get dressed, now," he said making me laugh again.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Emily screeched. We sent Justin into the bathroom as the two of us got dressed. Once we had gotten all ready we told Justin he could come out.
"Jeeze! What were ya'll doin'? I was in there forever staring at pictures of myself!" he complained. Emily just blushed. We were finally ready, so we went out to the parking lot and got in Emily's car. My heart started pounding as she roared the engine and we set off to find JC.
