Guys Hotel Room - Emily's P.O.V

It had been a day since I had torn my room apart. That night, Deanna had come back in the room to find me asleep in the pile of ripped faces. My whole body felt like it was in slow motion as I slowly drove with Deanna to the hotel. JC had wanted to meet with everyone, including me. This was going to have to be one of the hardest things I ever had to do. There was no doubt Justin was going to be there. And Lance and Hallie. Of all the people in the world, those were the exact three I didn't want to confront. My hand reached for the turn signal and I waited in line to pull into the hotel parking lot. My heart was racing and I was really nervous. There's no reason to be nervous...he's probably over me by now I told myself, trying to believe it, but not succeeding.

Before I knew it Deanna was knocking on their door and Justin's eyes met with mine. I pulled my eyes from his gaze and stared at the floor. This wasn't going to be easy. Justin left the door open and walked back to his spot where he'd been watching TV from his bed. I started to walk in and let my eyes take a quick glance at him. He was laying just as he was right before everything blew up. When everything was perfect. Perfect..I wish things could have stayed like that. Crystal tears started to form in my eyes as I remembered that night we had watched a movie in here. I would give anything to go back to that moment, but something in my heart wouldn't let me go. There was still a piece missing, something that I had lost a while ago, and I would never get it back.

I quickly wiped the tears out of my eyes and sat on a chair as far away from the bed as possible. I kept my eyes off of Justin and looked around the room. I saw Deanna and JC sitting together and instantly wished I could be her. The tears were forming again while I made myself look at the ground.

Within a half and hour everyone was in the room except Chris and Hollis. The room was tense. Justin, Lance, and Hallie were ignoring each other, I was ignoring all three of them. The only people talking were Joey, JC, and Deanna. Suddenly, JC broke the tension in the room.

"Well, I don't know where Chris is. I've paged him and called his cell phone, but he seems to be ignoring the calls so I'll just start without him." Everyone nodded in agreement. "Johnny called about 4 days ago telling us that we were going to be appearing on the talk show 'Vanessa's View' next week.... which means we're going to have to leave for Seattle. I never had a chance to tell you because of... "he trailed off. "Well, because of everything that has happened." He just had to say that. My heart ached with the thought of losing Justin. It was like all a bad dream, yet it was reality. "I just wanted to tell that to everyone and that all the girls are welcome to come. We have seats for you in the audience." JC finished. I tuned out what JC was saying from that moment on. I kept having the memories come rushing back at me. Even the smell of the hotel room and the smell of Justin's Abercrombie cologne was bringing me on the verge of tears. When at last I couldn't stand it anymore, I stood up and ran out of the room while slamming the door as hard as I could. When I was in the hall, I walked down to the elevator, but didn't have the strength to get on. I just slid to the floor and cried.

Vegas Jail Cell - Chris and Hollis

Hollis sat down against the bars, keeping her face down staring at her lap. Being to angry to even speak to Chris she sat in silence, listening to the humming of I Want You Back coming from one of the big guys in the back. She let out a large sigh, now covering her ears to blank the annoying sound out of her head. Chris came over to where she sat and knelt down next to her, hearing his knees crack as he bent. He began to brush his fingers through her brown hair but she nudged away, telling him in silence to leave her alone.

He never wanted to be in this whole mess, Chris just blamed it all on himself. Here he was, officially the first day of his marriage life and he's stuck in jail.

" Hollis," Chris breathed in quietly. " I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry for ruining your life like this,"

" Chris don't say that. You didn't ruin it... it's just messed up for a while. You are just what I wanted. But for right now.... I want to go home!"

Hollis yelled out as she threw her hands in the air. Chris lowered himself more as he wrapped his arms around Hollis's shoulders, placing his forehead into her shiny hair. She took her arm and settled her hand against Chris's cold cheek as she sniffled up her tears.

" Sir, you have the right to make a phone call. Would you like to take the time now, or sit and cry in your little corner so you can stay here longer and enjoy my company, Mr. Chris Kirkpatrick of 'Nsync?" the police officer said, getting a little edgy with his attitude.

Holding back the anger, Chris released himself from holding Hollis and turned to face the officer. He gave him a glare with indignation in his eyes. He stood up, using the bars for help and turned to face the door.

" I would like to take it now," he said between his teeth. The officer came over and unlocked him from the cell. He grabbed Chris's wrist so he would be sure that he wouldn't escape since they had no use of the handcuffs at that second. Hollis stayed low in the same corner, not moving an inch, not even to watch Chris get up.

He picked up the phone with his left hand that was free, and held it there for a few seconds. Wondering if he should call the guys came to mind, but what would they think of him? The comedian and older brother type of the group, put in jail for something that he didn't even commit. It would never come correctly in the press and not just Chris will get blamed, the group would and their reputation would be lost. He looked over to Hollis for an answer but he got a cold shoulder, only her back that bounced up and down from the sobbing as her hands covered her face from the others.

Making up his mind, he dialed the numbers slowly, waiting nervously for the person to pick up the phone.

Guys Hotel Room - Lance's P.O.V

As soon as Emily flashed before everyone's eyes Justin stood there pacing from one side of the room to the other. We all sat there in silence, staring at the floor or each other because no one had the courage to speak. Everything was going wrong and everyone's lives have been flipped upside down ever since JC purposely ran into a girl he found attractive. Ever since then I have been chasing her best friend who never liked me in the first place, and ruining what once was a perfect life for her.

" I better go talk to her," Justin sputtered as he couldn't handle the intense feelings anymore. He raged to the door until Deanna got up quickly and yanked back on his arm.

" If you do that you are just going to cause more trouble, don't be stupid. I'll go talk to her, I know her best," she stared him straight in the eyes and muttered.

Justin just began to nod his head in agreement as if he couldn't spit a word out between his tight shiny white teeth. He walked over to a chair that was settled by a table as he kicked his feet up. The white cotton socks kept making his feet slide off the side of the table. You can hear the mumbling under his breath as his patience became shorter and shorter. Deanna stood there with her hand on the door when Joey choked up and stopped her.

" Wait! Can I talk to her? I mean, I haven't been around that much lately and my friend Alex (?) isn't supposed to call me until tonight. I might be easier on her." Joey consoled.

" Are you sure? I mean, you might not be able to handle her with all the screaming, crying, some hitting here and there-."

" Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just sit your smart @$$ down back with JC and I'll see you guys soon."

Joey slammed the door quickly before anyone else was ready to stop him. Hallie came out of the bathroom not even aware of the event that just had happen as my cell phone began to rang. I excused myself from everyone and went out into the hall where I could have my privacy.

" Lance? This is Chris. Man, I really need your help,"

" Where have you been?" I said in his deep voice with a slight laugh. " We haven't been able to get a hold of you because you haven't been answering your phone. You've missed sooo much,-"

" Shut the hell up, I need your help. Can you fly down to Vegas as quickly as you can? Oh, and bring money."

" I'm sure I can order tickets today and be on a flight tomorrow. What the hell are you doing in Vegas?"

" Just visiting... at the LAS VEGAS PRISON!" Chris said as his voice fainted off for the last three words. " They have mistaken me for someone and I have no proof of ID that I am who I say I am so they have me, and Hollis, held in a cell down here. Enough explaining, can you just do it?"

" Yeah, whatever. Just keep it on the down low >> I love it when JC says that, hehe<<, we don't want to get a rep for this, or loss of fans. I'll be there tomorrow, hopefully."

Just after I hung up the phone Hallie opened the door. " Everything all right?".

" Not exactly, Chris and Hollis are down in Vegas in jail and I gotta go bail them out tomorrow."

" Sh!t! You must be kidding me! Lance, I'm going with you, Hollis is my best friend. I can't believe her! Why are they in?" Hallie exploded as she threw her hands in a flurry.

" Nothing, just a mix up. There's no problem. Let's go in and tell everyone."

Emily and Joey - Hallway - Deanna's P.O.V

Joey had no where to start but he just suspected that she would head for the car and go back to the dorm room. He walked down the hall as he dragged his fingers against the wall. He headed for the elevator as he heard the elevator ding he heard the sobbing of a girl just moments away. Knowing that Emily was in the mood she was, it must have been her as he inched closer to see her khaki shorts and baby blue tank top that tied around the neck >> cheesy, huh?<< with her body turned, pushing weight against the wall. Her back was to the elevator so anyone who stepped off wouldn't be able to recognize her face.

Not noticing that Joey crouched down next to her, the soft touch of his cold hand scared Emily as she snatched back quickly smacking Joey in the shoulder. He wanted to respond with a hit back but he understood that she definitely wasn't in the mood. Emily continued with her bawling, covering her right side of her face because the left was pushed against the wall.

" Just leave me alone!" she screamed through all her tears, slamming both feet against the ground.

" Em, come on. If you want things solved you need to talk them out." Joey tried to comfort without getting to close to her, afraid that she might hit again.

" Joey, just go away, please."

" I understand what you are-."

" Don't you dare say that! Don't you say that you understand when you don't even KNOW what I'm going through!" Emily screamed as she lifted her face up to show the redness, the puffy eyes and the severe pain and torture that this has brought to her. " Now please, just leave!". She pointed her finger, staring straight in the direction from which he had just came from. " Leave." she repeated as Joey just stayed in his tracks, not moving.

" If that's what you want." Joey said and was up in a flash.

" Leave." Emily whispered to herself as she watched Joey shooting around the corner.
