`_`EPILOGUE`_`

Everything in the past wasn't forgotten in Vesteva's memories, she will always have that scare in her life, an indention in her heart, but a lift for her self esteem and out look on life. Recognizing her faults and what she has caused not only to herself emotionally, but to others around her gave her a direction instead of running into dead ends. Ves's eyes opened to a world full of glorious opportunities waiting to be reached, she just didn't have the desire to go out and fetch some. Holding hands with JC as they walked down the street that night in Boston, Vesteva hung onto what she had before she lost it all once again. After realizing how much she meant to JC, and how much he meant to her, they knew that the relationship wouldn't last. With a whisper of the words, " I'll always be here for you", a promise in each one's hearts, ending with a kiss to seal the secret.

A phone call once a month, or a letter sent in the mail, there was always some type of connection Vesteva and JC tried to keep. The tour was intense, including all the promotional work, traveling the globe, and interviews, NSYNC hardly had any time to themselves. Vesteva continued her senior year, gathering friends and entering the drama scene with school and her district. She kept a relationship with a wonderful guy named Jon for around three months, but when family problems surrounded her house, it was a repeat from the past. By the time she graduated, her parents had gotten a seperation though were all smiles when their children were around.

As the college years came, the phone calls stopped as well as the letters, though the promise remained.

Dear Journal,

It's been centuries since my last entry, actually since the last time I even wrote in a journal. My handwriting may seem a little different, but it's late and I have been cramming for tests ( yuck ). I have made wonderful new friends down here and have met a couple guys that I have an interest in.

On a serious note, looking back from everything that has happened in the past, I never regret anything that I have ever done, or any of the wishes or hopes that I have created in my head. Every event that has happened in my life has happened for a reason, even though it didn't come out positive ( ugh.... relationships with people, ripping up my old journal. boo hoo ). Though I stand here as a stronger person, I feel as if I have conquered just trouble in my life and that i haven't experienced anything. I want to travel the world, I want my writing to be seen by thousands of people, I want... everything.

Not even a year ago I wouldn't even be here, probably in my room crying, or taking Leehola to preschool in the morning. I have JC's number tacked up to a bulletin board, but it's been months since I heard his voice ( other than the radio or cd ) or seen his words. I could pick up the phone right now, though it's just too hard. I don't know, I just can't explain it. I just hope, wherever he is right now, that he is happy and that he knows that he has opened the door for me to have a new beginning.

Joey tried to charm Kristin with his personality, though nothing ever took off after that night at the bar. After some discussion with Chris, he realized that he didn't have to live up to anyone's standards but his own. Joey never had any problems with not eating again.

Chris pursued his relationship with Danielle and finally worked up his courage to ask her to marry him. Even through the hectic schedule he managed to keep it together and balance his relationship and the time he spent with the group. Chris and Joey also became closer, never telling the rest of the group what really happened on the day Joey fainted.

Lance and Audra managed to keep close touch through everything. Audra settled at a small community college after high school, making it possible for her to visit Lance frequently. The two are close as ever and still seeing each other from the inside out.

Abby had never experienced anything like she felt that night. For once, she was actually enjoying herself. Justin and her enjoyed their night together, finally meeting in the middle of the road that separated their lives. Abby knew in her heart that starting a relationship now would just end in a broken heart, so she didn't pursue anything after that night. Being a firm believer in fate, Abby knew that if they were supposed to be together they would meet again, somewhere, someday.

After sharing one last kiss, Justin and Abby split apart promising each other that some connection would stay between them. Though with Justin's career and Abby having to put herself through college, it was almost impossible. Every so often, Abby would find a letter addressed to her in her mailbox from Justin, sending his comforting words. Justin made sure that nothing ever made Abby give up on her dreams. And every time Abby wrote back, she made sure to send Justin a few words of advice of her own.

About half-way through the semester, Kristin introduced Abby to Scott, who was also a pre-law student. The two hit it off and Abby kept the relationship until the middle of her sophomore year. After graduating law school, Abby managed to pull her life together and became a corporate lawyer for an insurance company. Though fate never brought Justin back to Abby, she always kept a place in her heart for him. Abby vowed to never forget the man that changed her life. The man that made everything she had possible. The man that opened her door to life.
