"Here we go," Katie was taking the first shift driving since it was a 6 hour drive to the spot. "Hand me that cup please Lance," Lance was sitting next to her and handed her her water bottle. "Thanks."

"Move over Justin! You're taking up all the room!" Ali loudly stated to Justin who was seated next to her.

"Well your pillows are too big." Justin said back at her.

"You can use them too!" Ali compromised.

"No, here put the pillow here and just lie down," Justin lay the pillow in his lap and pulled Ali's head down to the pillow so she could rest. Justin had an incredible urge to lean down and kiss her but held back and listened to the music that played softly in the speaker next to him.

"Are we there yet?" Chris asked annoyingly from the back.

"If you start that up I will smack you with my bag of food!" Joey countered him with.

"Ok stop fighting! It's going to be a long trip, but it'll be really worth it. Everyone had enough of the pizza I ordered before right cause the only time we'll stop is when it's my turn to drive in like 3 hours. You can you the bathroom then too ok?" Everyone murmured ‘yes' and Ali closed her eyes again.

"Ali go to sleep ok? You've been up for a while and you have to drive later so you'll need to be rested." Justin said soothingly and out of instinct he started stroking her hair and Ali just whispered ‘thank you' and drifted off into sleep.

She was awaken by Justin who was telling her it was time for her to drive. "Ok, Katie will you please pull into the next rest stop so I can start driving. How long do we have till we get there?" Ali asked as she rubbed her eyes.

"Probably about an hour or so. There wasn't any traffic and I'm not tired so I decided to drive some more. Besides you were really out of it." Katie explained as she switched lanes to exit into the rest stop up ahead.

"Ok, give me a second to wait up. Oh Justin did I hurt you?" Ali asked concerned as she sat up quickly.

"Not at all." Justin said smiling.

"Ok here we are. Do you guys want to wake up those three so they can use the bathroom or whatever?" Lance suggested.

Justin poked Chris's shoulder and he sat up suddenly, "no please make the little green men go away mommy!" Chris yelled and then he opened his eyes and blushed.

"So, you're seeing little green men are you?" Lance asked mocking Chris.

"Shut up!" Chris said and stated to pout. His yelling had awakened Jc and Joey though.

"So we're there?" Joey asked sleepily.

"Sorry Joey but no we're just switching drivers. Only another hour or so though." Ali explained. She had obviously woken up and was moving herself and her bag out the door to switch with Katie. Justin decided to move as well since Lance and Katie would probably want to sit together. Ali noticed Justin moving as well and asked, "what are you doing?"

"I thought I'd let Katie and Lance sit together and I would sit up front with you. Do you mind?" Justin asked with a puppy dog face.

"Well I can't say no to that can I?" Ali punched his arm softly and winked at him.

"Good let's get this car ride over with." Justin said. Everyone was talking about all kinds of things. The excitement of reaching their destination buzzed throughout the car. Even Ali was giddy with the secret of where they were going. When Ali crossed over the bridge into Avalon she screamed, "I'm back baby!"

Then almost immediately Katie yelled, "And better then ever!" The two girls giggled as if they were in a school yard and had just found out the silliest thing imaginable.

"Get the geese out of the car please," Chris joked.

"Hey come on this is our home away from home Chris. Katie and I came down here every summer during high school. We have so many memories here. We're in Avalon, New Jersey. We're staying at the best hotel and ya'll better be ready to have some fun in da sun!" Ali was so hyper she almost jumped out of her seat.

"Calm down sugar chica ok? You're scaring me and you know that takes a lot," Chris laughed.

"Ok, I'm cool. I really want to let you know though that this place is very special to me and with me inviting you here to share it truly means that I love you all very much and want to share this place with you." There were tears in her eyes so Justin handed her a tissue.

"Here come the waterworks! Now Ali you and Katie have to promise no crying! If this is going to be as fun as you two say then there shouldn't be any crying!" Chris stated firmly and the girls only smiled.

"Ok Chris we'll try, but does crying if we're happy count?" Katie asked as she tilt her head back so she could see him upside down.

"Yes, but not too much," Chris said as he flicked her forehead.

"Ouch!" She yelped as she brought her head up and rubbed it in pain.

"Oh come here poor baby," Lance pulled her close and kissed her forehead and then brought his lips down to meet hers. Katie squealed in pleasure.

"Oh look what I gone and done! Damn it more lip-locking! Gross!" Chris shouted.

"Hey, I don't think Dee would like that very much. She's probably going to want to smooch with you when you see her soon and since you don't like it I'll have to tell her that you don't like to do it. So I guess I'll call her when we get to the hotel-" Katie would have gone on but Ali stopped her.

"We are here at the hotel and we have to unpack and show these boys around." Ali said laughing wickedly.

"Ok, but when I kiss with Dee I don't put it on public display." Chris said quickly to get the last word.

"Ok, now I explained the situation to the hotel and they've added some security on the beaches just in case. I don't think there will be a problem. This is going to be the best time! I totally promise it guys!" Ali was smiling ear to ear.

"Goodness Ali, you look like you slept with a hanger in your mouth." Jc said smiling as well.

"You'll understand after a few days why I love this place so much." Ali slammed the trunk and piled all the luggage on the curb. Joey and Chris had went for luggage carriers.

Everybody loaded all of the bags onto the carriers and rolled them into the lobby. "Ali party please," she said as she reached the front desk. "We have four suited waiting for us."

"Yes of course," the woman nodded and went to the computer to find out the room numbers. "Rooms 200, 201, 202, and 203. Here are your keys and those two bell boys will handle your bags. Thank you and enjoey your visit," she said winking at Joey.

"We're here five minutes and Joey already has a fan," Jc said exasperated.

"Well it looks like Ali found some fans as well," Chris pointed out. Ali had started chatting with the bell boys. To Justin it seemed like flirting.

"Oh no. OH NO!" Katie yelled as she turned to see the boys Ali was talking to. She outburst made everyone turn to look at her and Lance spilt his water.

"What's the matter?" Lance asked her.

"Nu-nothing it's just I know them." With that Katie walked over to greet the two young men. They both could not have been over 20. They were both very handsome and seemed to know Ali. The first one was tall and had dirty blond hair with bangs that fell into his eyes. He had a big smile and obviously worked out. The other guy was the same height as Ali with brown hair. His hair seemed to stay right above his eyes that were fixed on Ali. "Brian? And Mike? What are you two doing here?" Katie asked. She didn't act as warmly to them as Ali did.

"We're townies now. We're going to school a few miles away and living here. A lot of people are here this summer. And we got the best jobs out of all the guys, we get to stay in the same hotel as the two most beautiful girls here." Brian said as he put his arm around Ali's shoulders.

"Ok, so I guess you girls aren't going to introduce us. Hello I'm Lance, Katie's boyfriend." Lance said as he shook both their hands.

"I see. Sorry about that comment before. I guess we'll just have to share Ali then Mike." Brian said laughing.

"No! She's all mine." Mike picked her up and spun her around the lobby.

"Whoa! Here there I'm wearing a skirt now." Ali said laughing.

"Even better," Mike spun her even more until Justin caught Ali and put her down.

"Hey, who are you?" Mike demanded. "I'm Justin and Ali's a good friend of mine. That's Jc, Chris, and Joey. We're all staying here with Ali and Katie. You got a problem with that?" Justin snapped back.

"Justin calm down Mike was just kidding." Ali turned back to Mike and smiled.

"So where's Jack? You three always came down here together and I was hoping to try and beat him at mini golf for once." Brian said laughing.

"I think that should be discussed later Brian. We all want to get unpacked and it's kind of late." Katie said and Ali mouthed the word ‘thanks' and nodded with Katie's idea.

"We'll take these up then. What rooms?" Mike asked.

"We're in rooms 200,201,202, and 203. This cart has the 200 and 201 bags and the other one has 202 and 203 bags." Justin said coldly.

"Alright. We'll see you girls later by the pool." Brian said and Mike and him smiled and winked at Ali who just blushed in response and blew them kisses. Justin tensed as she did and so did Katie.

"Come on Ali I have to talk to you," Katie grabbed Ali's arm but before she could go in the elevator Mike tapped her back.

"Katie just one second please?" They walked away from the group and stood by a far door, but Mike held his grip on her arm. "Do not tell her Katie. What ever you do do not tell her or you'll be sorry. And so will Ali she trusts me remember." Mike said slyly and walked back to the carrier and left. Katie walked back smiling saying how he just wanted to say how happy he was to see her back.

"This place is so great baby," Lance said to Katie squeezing her hand and kissing her head.

"I think you're great," Katie smiling up at him with love. "I love you."\

"I love you too."

"Get a room! Come on now," Chris said acting like he was choking and fell to the floor.

"We have one so ha!" Lance said laughing.

"Alright now that is so going to stop! Chris, let Katie and Lance alone. Come on we're here everybody out!" Ali ushered everyone out and walked down the all too familiar hall.

As Ali walked down the hallway she remembered a party from last summer where she, Jack and Katie were at with Brian and Mike. Jack had a girl with him but everyone was just having fun with everyone. Everybody was drinking and dancing. Jack and Ali even started grinding together. It had been a great night. Unfortunately the party did last all night and Ali knew she couldn't go home. That's all Ali seemed to be able to remember. "I'm in here, who's with me?" Ali asked. "I know Lance and Katie are going to share a room right?"

"Actually no. I think the more appropriate thing to do is have the girls share and-" Lance would have gone on, but Ali stopped him.

"In that case one person gets their own room. I was going to have it because I assumed you two were going to share and I didn't want to room with a boy! Just kidding. But how is this going to work?"

"How about every other night we switch. I don't know if it will be even but it'll have to work." Jc suggested. "Is it ok if I take it first?"

"Sure, go ahead. It's 203." Ali kissed his cheek and gave him a hug, "goodnight!"

"Night you guys," Jc grabbed his four bags and went into the solitude of his own room. He sat on his bed and looked around. It was big and beautiful. There were two glass doors that let out onto a deck so he stood up and walked over to it. Even though it was going to be midnight in a little bit he could still see the ocean. As he looked left and right he noticed three other rooms lighting up. The deck was connected to the four rooms. Chalk another one up for Ali. Jc smiled to himself and went back into his room before anyone else came out. Jc just wanted to sleep and sleep well. He pulled the tight sheets and blanket down and climbed in clothes and all and soon fell into a deep slumber.

Lance and Justin decided to room together and Joey and Chris were in the other. Joey and Chris were very tired after running around the room looking in every corner. They went to sleep shortly after that. "Night Joe," Chris said sleepily. "Goodnight Chris. I'll see you in the morning."

"Lance can I talk to you for a little bit?" Justin asked. The two had decided they were too wired to go to sleep and unpacked instead.

"Sure. What's up?" Lance sat on his bed with his water.

"How do you know you love Katie?" Justin just blurted out.

"Justin where is that coming from...oh you still love Ali don't you?" Lance said looking at his depressed friend.

"Yes man, I really do. But I'm not going to tell her now. I planned too but then I saw her around Brian and that Mike and she's obviously over me. I don't want to ruin our friendship, but it really hurts to not be able to voice all these feelings I have. I can't control them. I want to tell her so bad."

"Then do it. Don't just hold it in. You have to tell her," Lance stood up and pulled Justin off his bed on the other side of the roomand pushed him to the door.

"Ok," Justin walked out the door and went next door to the girls room. The door was open ajar and he poked his head in just in time to hear Ali say, "seeing Mike again brought back so many memories that I just couldn't stop thinking aout kissing him!" Justin stepped back from the door and starred in awe. He walked back into his room and went right to sleep. Lance didn't say anything. He went to bed as well. Tomorrow was a whole new day.
