"I can't say goodbye to him Jc. I guess I well what I'm trying to say is..."
"That you love him." Jc finished the sentence for her.
"Yes, I do Jc with all my heart, but I can't ever utter it to him. He'll crush my heart in my hands. I just don't want to say goodbye to Justin," Ali sobbed into Jc's shoulder.
"Did I hear my name?" Justin walked over to the two of them.
"Yes, I was just saying that out of all of us you seem the most composed."
"I don't know what it is," Justin shrugged and walked away. I know what it is Ali thought bitterly. He doesn't care that I'm leaving. I was just a pair of lips to kiss.
I know why I don't fall apart like the rest of you, it's because the one person I love doesn't love me back. If I start I won't stop. When it comes time I'll kiss her cheek and say goodbye. "Ali, will you come over here?"
"Ok Justin here I am," Ali said as she walked over to him.
"I just want to say goodbye. Our plane is going to be taking off in about 10 minutes." Justin moved closer to Ali.
"Ok, then well goodbye Justin, thanks for being here with me. It was fun." Ali moved over to him, kissed his cheek softly and gave him a hug. Before Justin could say anything more she walked away.
"Goodbye Ali my love," the only part Ali heard was the goodbye which she turned around to. She waved and sat down in a chair off to the side. The minutes ticked away and then finally.
"Last boarding call for flight 189 for Orlando. Last call." The announcer stated.
"I guess this is it ya'll," Ali said with a little southern twang.
"Oh no we've only started to leave and already Ali's changed. I guess I'll be brave and stay with her to straighten her out." Chris said smiling.
"It's ok Chris I'll be exactly like this when you come back." They said their final tearful goodbyes and the guys got onto the plane. Little did she know that Chris was right and those next two months would change her in many ways.
~*~*~ 3 days before the guys were coming back ~*~*~
(writers note: I know I know big jump, but it'll work out!)
"I can't wait to see you Jc. Your voice sounds the same, but I just want o see your face in real life. I've acquired a lot more pictures though. I've blown up those pictures Katie took everywhere. Hurry your little butt down here." Ali whined into the phone.
"Oh hun you know I can't wait to get there none of us can," Jc said until Chris's voice came into the background. "Joey get out of the bathroom! I have to pee!"
"I guess you have to pee Chris," Ali yelled.
"Oh oh oh sugar chica is on the phone. Yes I have to pee it's a normal bodily function. I know you were just dying to know that info right?"
"Oh yes I really wanted to know Chris," Ali laughed.
"Well you wouldn't have to pee so much if you didn't chug all that water." Everyone laughed. "Well sweetie we've got to go." Jc sounded reluctant like he didn't want to get off. "Do you want to talk to Justin by any chance?"
"No thank you Jc I've done fine without him for 2 months. Good bye Jc I love you babe."
"Oh alright. I wish you would tell me what happened. I don't understand. And Justin has no clue what happened. He's been in pretty bad shape."
"Jc, please. See you in less then 72 hours." Ali hung up the phone. Over the past months Ali had changed a lot. She was a lot skinner because for a while she wouldn't eat because she was so sad. She redecorated her room so only photo's Katie and herself had taken were on the walls. All of her *nsync stuff had been carefully packed away. It seemed silly to have it out when she had the real thing. Due to all the sun she got on the beach her hair was lighter. She just seemed prettier some how. Ali hadn't really noticed. Unfortunately she hadn't really done anything productive. She saw some friends and worked out a lot, but Katie had to go to Cali for the time to show off her work. Crying every night became a routine for Ali. She cried for everything now. Before it was just Jack, but it had turned into loosing Justin and not be able to talk to any of them whenever she wanted. Ali felt like no one wanted her. Ali knew all that would change when the guys came home. 1 glorious month of chilling together. Ali smiled as she thought about that fact in her head and decided to fix up the guy's rooms special.
With all the money Ali had saved over the years she decided to splurge on all of the guys. She decorated each of their rooms to the way she thought they would like. Justin had a basketball theme with all sorts of sport toys like that and a big bed. She had even gotten him some jersey's with his name on it. Of course it wasn't just basketball. Ali put up pictures of the gang together and cool lamps and a really nice mirror. It was definitely the best room she did. Jc had a musical design that was absolutely beautiful. Lance had a country theme with great rustic furniture and a horse painting. Joey had a club theme with a big stereo and funky lights. It was a room that already was having a party even without Joey in there. Chris had all sports as his theme. Ali really didn't go over board because what they say to magazines may be different then what they really love. So even though she added some themes the best feature was all the different kinds of furniture she had acquired. Ali was very pleased with herself. It had taken her 2 months to get everything and set it up, but it was so worth it.
"Ok Katie I'll see you tomorrow at 1, bye." Ali hung up with Katie and decided to take a bath. After a good twenty minutes soaking she got out and put on a towel. She brushed her teeth and combed out her hair. She went downstairs to get her brush. When she got from the living room mirror she was making her way upstairs when 5 voice yelled "SURPRISE!" Ali froze shivering from the cool air on her bare skin and because she was so happy.
"Wha-what going on?" Ali chocked out.
"Hey, we're not that ugly are we?" Chris said.
"No just you," Justin said laughing.
"I don't care what you say I wanna get my hug! Move outta my way. Come here Ali." Chris ran through everyone and wrapped Ali in a big hug. Ali cried into him for a little bit until he was pulled away so everyone else could say hello.
"I still don't understand. You guys were supposed to come in 2 days." Ali said as she parted with Lance who gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"We wanted to surprise you." Joey said and then Chris chimed in, "did we?"
"Yes, and it was the best surprise ever. Come here Joey and gimme a hug." Ali said. Joey decided to pick her up which didn't work out too well since she was still in a towel! "Oh Joey, I know it's getting late but it is not time for the moon ok?" Ali said laughing clinging to the falling towel.
"Come here Ali, I've missed you so much." Jc said as she got down.
"I missed ::sob:: you too." Ali ran into his outstretched arms and spun around with him. "Don't ever leave me for this long again ok?"
"Ok sweetie we won't." Jc put her down and as the others left to unpack Justin moved towards Ali.
"Hello Justin, how have you been?" Ali asked.
"I could've been better. You?" Justin said politely. It was if they were strangers.
"Same here. Well come here Justin don't stand there like a wallflower. Friends don't act this way." Ali moved closer.
"No, I don't want to be friends." Justin said. "I want much more Ali why can't you see that?" He muttered as he picked up his things and went to his familiar room. For the first time in three weeks he silently cried. His heart hurt. Why doesn't she want me? I don't know what I did. Well at least she doesn't know how I really feel.
Ali's smile had faded and tears stung her eyes. No! I will not fall apart. They're home. My family is home. Don't cry please don't cry. "Jc, can you come in here?" Ali yelled up the stairs.
"Sure, coming." Jc trotted up the stairs. Jc hurried his pace when he heard the soft sobs coming from Ali. "What happened now Ali? We just got here." There was a loud thud! and as Jc reached the top of the stairs he saw Ali sprawled out on the floor. "GUYS! OH MY GOD COME HELP QUICK!"
