Chapter 25

"Hey what?  Wait a sec, what are you doing over here?  Couldn't you get in a lot of trouble for that?"  Nick asked, a look of confusion on his face.
Alexa laughed as she sat down next to him on the floor.  "Nope, not at all.  I'm off my room confinement, she finally caved in," she said.
"No offense to your mom or anything, but damn, its about time."
"I know what you mean, its been nearly a month," Alexa said, moving behind Nick and sticking her legs out from behind him, making it look like he grew another pair of legs.
"Ohh, I have another pair of legs?  And look at that, they're nice and smooth and beautiful," Nick said, moving his hands from her knees down to her feet.  "And I have smaller feet!  Aww, man, now I have to go out and buy new shoes!"
Alexa laughed and wiggled her toes as Nick tickled them.  "Stop tickling me.  You only have these extra legs for a little while, until I get uncomfortable and we have to switch," she said, moving her hands to his neck and massaging it gently.
"Alexa, I'm trying to play a game here," Nick said, his head rolling forward.
"So?  Doesn't this feel better?"  Alexa asked, moving her hands slowly down his back, massaging every muscle.
"Wow, yeah, it does," Nick said, apparently pausing his game.
Alexa smiled and worked her way down to his waist and pressed her thumbs into the bunched up muscles.  "Sweetie, you've been working too hard, you need to relax," she said.
Nick nodded as she moved her hands to his neck again to work her way back down.  "I know, its all part of the job, though," he said, almost mumbling.
Alexa bit her lip and got up on her knees, working on Nick's shoulders.  His head rolled back and he opened his eyes and looked into hers.  "You know, you should really do this for a living, people pay good money to feel this," he said, closing his eyes again and rolling his head forward.
Alexa giggled lightly and worked on his over stretched neck.  "But I like doing it for you, and only you," she whispered, moving to sit next to him, facing him.
Nick looked up at her.  "Don't stop, please, it feels so good," he said.
Alexa smiled and took the controller out of his hands and placed it on the floor and sat on his lap.  She put her hands around his neck, playing with the short hair that was there, and looked in his eyes.  "I don't have to stop," she said quietly.  She pulled his head down to hers and gave him the most passionate kiss she had ever before, making sure he understand her exact meaning.
Nick pulled her closer to him, wrapping his arms around her waist, and kissing her back.  Alexa felt his hands run up her back to her neck and to her hair, playing with it.  She involuntarily wrapped her legs around his waist, not ending the kiss.  She felt Nick kiss his way to her neck and she moved her mouth to his neck.  They were interrupted as someone started banging on the door.
"Nick!  Open the friggin' door!"  Brian hollered.
Nick and Alexa broke away from each other and she nearly laughed.  "Oops, I locked it on my way in," she whispered.
Nick bit his lip and looked in her eyes.  "I'm seriously considering not letting him in," he whispered back, caressing her cheek gently.
"Nick!  I said, open the friggin' door!"  Brian yelled, banging again.
Alexa gave Nick one more quick kiss and stood up.  "You better, I'll be right back," she said, hurrying to the bathroom.  She closed the bathroom door behind her as she heard Nick open the door for Brian.
"My goodness, Frack, what on earth were you doing that you couldn't answer the door for ten minutes!?"
"Ten minutes!  Frick, I only just now heard you knocking."
"What, were you lost in the world of nintendo again?"  Brian asked sarcastically.
Alexa giggled and looked at herself in the mirror.  She straightened out her shirt and shorts, then saw something on her neck.  "My God, Mom's gonna flip!"  She exclaimed.  She moved her hair to conceal the red and blue mark on the base of her neck.  'At least it's towards the back, my hair will hide it for now,' she thought.  She opened the bathroom door and saw Brian.
"So this time it wasn't the land of nintendo, it was the land of Alexa, huh?"  Brian asked, exasperatedly.
    "Brian!"  Nick exclaimed, embarrassed.
"Brian, come on, calm down," Alexa said, walking over to the two.  She stood in front of Nick and took his hands in hers.  "Besides, I'll blurt what I saw last week if you tell anyone about this," she said.
Brian shook his head violently and held out his hands.  "I won't tell, I promise!"  He said quickly.
"What?  What did she catch you doing, Frick?"  Nick asked.
"You wouldn't know, I was the only one around and I caught him doing something he shouldn't be doing," Alexa said, smiling devilishly.
"Oh, this must be good if it'll keep your mouth shut," Nick said to Brian.
"It is, trust me," Alexa said, leaning back against Nick's chest.  "Even you wouldn't believe me if I told you, you'd have to see it to believe it," she said quietly.
"You're kidding!  Damn, bro, what were you doing?"  Nick asked Brian.
Brian shook his head and walked to his side of the room.  "Nothing, absolutely nothing," he said, picking his way through the mess.
"Brian, clean up this room and I won't tell Nick," Alexa said slowly, another smile forming on her face.
    "But Alexa," Brian started.
Alexa held up a finger and turned to Nick and opened her mouth.
"Oh, fine," Brian said, starting to pick up his clothes.
Alexa and Nick laughed and he led her to the couch.  "You know, maybe you could be around to do that more often," Nick said, sitting her on his lap.
"Eh, it's not that hard.  Just find something and hold it over his head, kinda like Chinese water torture.  He's gonna go insane by the end of the week, watch," Alexa said, watching as Brian hastily cleaned up his side of the room.  "Don't forget Nick's side too, Bri!"  She called.
"What?  That's his mess, I shouldn't have to clean it up!"  Brian exclaimed.
Alexa raised her eyebrows and turned to Nick.  "I saw Brian"
"All right!  All right!  I'll do it!"  Brian said urgently.
Alexa laughed and looked at Nick.  "This is going to be the best week of our lives," she said.

"Where did Alexa go?"  Brian asked as Nick closed the door.
"She had to go talk to Denise, she was waiting until she got back," Nick answered, sitting in front of the nintendo and resuming his game.
"Good," Brian said, throwing down he pile of clothes he was carrying.  He plopped down on the couch behind Nick and sighed.  "Sheesh, I didn't realize cleaning up took forever," he said.
"It wouldn't take that long if you weren't such a slob in the first place," Nick said, steering his cart around the track.
"Shut up, like you aren't a messy person."
    "Not as messy as you!"
"Hey, just because I'm an indecisive person doesn't mean I'm messy," Brian said, trying to defend himself.
"Brian, look at the room.  Every hotel room we're in, you always end up making the biggest mess.  I don't know how you can stand it, I'd never be able to find what I'm looking for in that mess!"  Nick exclaimed, pausing his game.
"I know what I'm looking for when I'm looking for something and I can find it when I need it.  It's an organized mess," Brian said.
"Oxy-moron," Nick said, turning back to his game.
"Shut up, smarty pants!  Since when did you know what an oxy-moron was?" Brian asked.
"Alexa explained it to me, seeming as if no one else was nice enough to!"  Nick exclaimed.
"She explained that to you?  Wait a sec, out of total curiosity, did she ever go to school?"  Brian asked.
"Yes, she did.  There was a program at the local grammar and high schools in Orlando for a few years.  She was taught everything and even has her high school diploma, but the program was shut down the year she graduated, so she's upset that no one else will have the chance to do what she did," Nick explained.
"Wow, that's pretty cool.  I mean, the part that she got her diploma, but that's sad that the program was canceled.  Why was it shut down?"
"Because the money ran out.  It costs a lot of money to have an education, a lot more money than it did ten years ago.  She said she was surprised that they could continue the program for so long, there were a lot of people in her classes and a lot more above and below her.  She was happy she got her diploma, but sad that no one else could."
"Yeah, it is pretty depressing.  I mean, think about if you'd never been tutored while we were touring or anything.  Imagine not knowing anything," Brian said.
"Trust me, I've thought about it numerous times, and I still can't imagine to the degree that those kids have," Nick answered, crossing the finish line.
Brian pondered what it must be like to have no education, to be totally clueless to the outside world except for what you learned on the street.  He shook his head to clear the thoughts and sat next to Nick on the floor. "Come on, I'll challenge you," he said.
"You'll lose," Nick said, handing him a controller.
"So?  At least I have some practice," Brian insisted, taking the controller.  They started their game, with Nick beating him right away.
A few minutes later, Nick threw down his controller.  "Haha, I win again!"  He said, smiling.
Brian grumbled to the floor and selected another game.  Right before he started, he noticed something out of the corner of his eye.  "Nick, what is on your neck?"  He asked, pausing the game.
Nick's eyes widened and he got up and ran to the bathroom.  "Uh-oh," he said.
Brian started laughing and couldn't stop.  "Nicky has a hickey!  Nicky has a hickey!"  He said in a singsong voice.
"Shut up, Brian!  Don't call me that!  Oh, God, how am I going to cover this up?  I don't necessarily have long hair like Alexa does!"  Nick exclaimed from the bathroom.
Brian shook his head as he got up and walked to the bathroom.  "I guess you'll either have to walk around with that red and blue mark saying it's a bruise, or you could wear turtle necks and coats and sweaters with big collars," he suggested, laughing.
"Shut up, you know that doesn't work.  It didn't work when you came in with one from that club in London, now did it?"  Nick accused him.
"Hey, I could still cover it up, though," Brian said, his laughter ceasing.
"You remember how Angie covered all those bruises on your face?"  Brian started.
"Brian, are you telling me you went out and bought makeup to cover up a hickey?"  Nick asked him.
Brian shook his head.  "No, I went to Angie and asked her for some, she gave me what I needed and I was set, no one ever knew except for her and you."
"And the girl who gave it to you," Nick added.
"Shut up, the point is, Denise won't ever have to know, neither will anyone else, as long as you get some makeup from Angie," Brian said.
"But we don't see Angie for a while and we have an appearance tomorrow," Nick said, starting to whine.
"Then ask Alexa!  I'm sure she has some makeup," Brian said.
Nick looked at Brian.  "You know something?  You're a genius.  I'll be right back," Nick said, hurrying to the door.  Brian chuckled and reset the nintendo game, trying to get in some practice.
