Our cattery was established in 1998, with  our first cat, Merlow Czar Karolina.  Over the years we have expanded our lines with champion lines from the Keehotay, Kimara and Tyana lines.

Cats and kittens from the Uki lines been exhibited at championship cat shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, and Perth.  The daughter of a Uki stud was awarded Supreme Exhibit at the Perth Royal Show in 2007, and a Uki granddaughter followed that success by taking out the top honours again in 2009.

The Russian temperament, considered laid back at the best of times, even with strangers, suits the show environment very well.   Russians can be seen at most cat shows, usually sleeping throughout the day except for judging, when they emerge purring and composed to be admired by all.  Please see our Contact page for links to cat organisations and clubs where information on shows can be found.

Our  stud male cat, Uki Raine, pictured left, was awarded Best Russian Exhibit of the Year by Queensland Feline Association for five years running, until 2010.   Raine has retired from shows after being  been the proud father of many a delightful  Uki kitten.

Our young female cat - Qld Double Grand Champion Uki Gidget, pictured above at just 12 months old, was awarded Best Russian of the Year for 2011, by  the Queensland Feline Association.

During her first year of showing, Gidget won many Best in Show awards, including both the Supreme Shorthair Exhibit award and Supreme Allbreeds Exhibit award at the Flash Felines Show in Brisbane, in October 2011.   Gidget too has now retired and is one of our fireside companions.

Following in Gidget's footsteps, and again winning many Best in Show and Supreme Awards, our girl Champion Uki Samara Stardust (pictured above) was awarded Best Russian of the Year for 2012 by the Queensland Feline Association.  Sammy has now been desexed and retired to warm the lap of her new owners.
