Unfinished love
"Yes," I replied, i felt my face growing hot "i would be happy to"
It had only been about 3 weeks since I had broken up with my boyfriend CJ. I had been with him for 2 months until he started abusing me. He would tell his friends that I slept with him, and when i said no to having sex with him he would slap me till i was practically unconcious.
It happened 3 weeks ago when we were at his house...
"c'mon kelly noone is home" he said. "noone would know we've done it"
"i dont want to. im not ready..." i said.
There was a short pause then... --WHACK-- CJ hit me so hard that my face had a huge red handprint on my face. Just then his parents walked in and sat down with us. Saved by the parents... so i thought, but i really wanted to go home and he wouldn't bring me just because i didn't sleep with him
By the time i got home it was 1am and my parents were sleeping, so i quickly brushed my teeth and went to sleep. This went on for a couple of weeks until i just couldn't handle the pain anymore and almost had to be checked into the hospital.
----------Prom Day----------
Jake walked up to me today, the first person to talk to me after the breakup. We started talking and went out for pizza and sodas after school.

After a couple of minutes while the were eating pizza jake asked kelly a question.
"Kelly I'm really happy that you're here with me. I've never really known how to tell you this but ever since I've seen you around at school i knew i liked you. but you went out with that jerk. I knew that he never treated you right, i could always see the expression on your face... i was waiting to ask you this question because i couldn't really ask...let alone talk to you while you were with CJ" Jakes heart was beating faster than ever and his face started growing redder and redder."Will you go to the prom with me?"
"yes, i would be happy to" kelly replied.

I picked kelly up at 6 o'clock and we went out for dinner. She looked like a princess in her baby blue gown. I helped her in the car and we talked about what cj had done to her. I was suprised that she would actually tell me that much, but i was glad that she trusted me enough to tell me that.I think i suprised her while we were eating dinner as i reached into my pocket nervously. i felt my heart beat just as fast as when i asked her to the prom. i handed her a little black box that held i silver bracelet and on the end it held a heart.

As Jake handed Kelly the little black box that contained the bracelet Kelly's face carried a shocked expression
"Kelly, i know that you may not be ready for a relationship yet but i was wondering would you go out with me?"
Yes I will" all along kelly was waiting for someone in her life to be nice to her, someone who wouldn't hurt her, and who would love her for who she was. She always thought that Jake was the perfect guy to do that for her, but she never told her how she felt, and she didn't know how" she loved him
----prom----
Prom was suppose to be the big party for the graduates, but for jake and kelly all they could feel was a sense of happiness between the both of them. They were so happy they found eachother that they didn't notice cj following them around. Instead of staying for the whole prom Jake and KElly decided to leave early and go out to the beach for a walk. as they walked out of the hotel corridors cj called out to Kelly.
"Kelly! Kelly! Kelly!" eachtime he called her name he would speak louder.when she finally turned around cj pulled out a gun and said "so i hear you 2 are going out now, well guess what?"
He aimed the gun at jake, and then at kelly. then back at jake.
POW
Jake had been shot, and blood was gushing out from that wounded area.
