Rangers FC, is the
most successful club in Scottish football history and one of the strongest
names in football. The club won its 50th League Championship in the 2002-2003
season and having gained permission of Europe's
governing body UEFA, decided to commemorate this unique achievement by
incorporating 5 stars into the clubs shirt crest, each star symbolizing ten
Championships. Due to production lead times an interim version was initially
launched on the 2003-2004 home kit in order to recognize the achievement in a
timely manner.
