Review of Assessment and Evaluation techniques, tools and real-world applications. Stresses importance of these strategies in e-education, explains challenges of assessment in a distance education environment.

Research and Ethics in E-Education
A challenging course in the fundmental's of research and statistics and their application in the educational arena. Professional ethics, regulations and confidentiality issues are explored.
EDTC 550
Information Technology
A foundational course in the basic concepts of computer systems. Students conduct an individual assessment of a training need and develop a curriculum and platform delivery model to meet the training need. Practical team simulation of product evaluation and comparison in the selection of an overall e-educational development and delivery platform.

Internet and Distance Education Delivery
Explores the wide variety of distance education delivery platforms. Gives students real-world opportunity to research, evaluate and compare distance education platforms in todays market. Identifies "must have" features of a good distance ed delivery product. Focuses on effective instructional strategies for distance education.
EDTC 560
Applications of Multimedia and Web Page Design
Most hands-on course to-date. Focus on the mastery of basic HTML with the creation of an individaul web site. Review of good multimedia design techniques for optimum learning and the use of graphics, video and audio are incoporated. Students develop their first multimedia lesson. Students build on previous coursework in the team evaluation and assessment of available products for the creation and delivery of multimedia instruction.
