Ike's Place

Welcome fellow musicians.

Juber            Pride and Joy      Flashback

This will likely be an eternal work in progress. I will add links and vids, and what have you, eventually. For now I will start by posting my equipment.

This is my Ibanez RG series. It is a japanese made edition, with a v7 double coil humbucker in the neck position, an s1 single mid, and a v8 double in the bridge. It has a Flloyd Rose style tremelo, locks at the nut, and an awesome 24 fret neck.

Here is my Fender Stratocaster mim. Nothing special, an all stock guitar, with factory pickups. This instrument plays well, and stays in tune fine. I have not  played it much since I got the Ibanez.

I think I will tune it to a D tuning and use it that way, as the Ibanez is more work to change tunings.

My acoustic is an Ibanez AE, equipped with Fishman electronics. The equalization unit has 3 bands plus boost, and includes a phaser. This guitar, although difficult to reach beyond the 12th fret, plays and sounds great. "wired or unpluged"
The amplifier I have now is the Line 6 spider 2 1 12, with the FBV shortboard. There are an incredible amount tones available from this amp, as well as four built in channels, which are pre-programmed with sounds. You may choose to re-program with your own settings if you wish.

There is built in chorus flange, phaser, tremelo, delay, tape echo, sweep echo, and reverb. (although the settings are limited)

There are 6 different amp models, with 2 settings for each, clean, twang, blues, crunch, metal, insane.

The floorboard, (which I am still learning how to use), has 9 banks of 4 channels, which adds up to 36 preset sounds (set by Line 6, or re-programmed by the user. Built in wah/volume pedal, and controls for some of the amp's other features.

Ah yes, the trusty ol' Pignose. Your arsenal can not truly be complete without this remarkable little amp. This AA battery powered sidekick has strap hooks for play on the go enthusiasts, and the amount of sound generated is awesome. I use my boss distortion pedal with it just to give me that extra sustain, and growl.

The Sabine stx-1100 led tuner is one of the easiest I have ever used, and as you can see, I have become a fan of the Elixir strings.

I also swear by Monster cables.

Most of the time when I am at home, I am playing through a Line 6 Guitar Port, which I love. I will post a picture at another time after I clean up my puta work area.
