Bumble Ball Buddy – A Mechanism Description

Introduction

The bumble ball buddy (Figure 1) is a battery operated, bouncing, vibrating, children’s toy.  The bumble ball buddy is round and approximately 6 inches in diameter.  The bumble ball buddy is made of a hard plastic with attaching parts made of a soft rubber.  The bumble ball buddy consist of three visible parts: soft rubber bouncers, bear face and body, and activation switch.

Soft Rubber Bouncers

The soft rubber bouncers, made of soft rubber, are colored orange, pink, and green,   assist the toy in bouncing and rolling.

 

Bear Face and Body

The bear face and body, made of a soft rubber, has the appearance of a bear with black paws, a white face with black ears, and eyeballs that move up and down inside clear plastic covers.  Bear face and body has the same function as the soft rubber bouncers.

 

Activation Switch

The activation switch, made of hard plastic, turns the toy on by pulling the switch away from the toy, and turns the toy off by pushing the switch into the toy.
