If you can't be a good example you'll just have to be a horrible

A Homemaker's Life

I'm not one of those PTA/soccer moms that you see picking up their kids at school with their perfect hair and clothes. I'm far from being a super mom. I'm just a regular person who on a daily basis wants to pull my hair out.
I wanted to make a place where other mothers could come and maybe find a small break in their hectic lives. I wanted to create a place where you can find humor in your life, maybe get a little advice or just vent a little. If you have a great story or are having a bad day e-mail me. I'll either post it or try and help or help you get going in a direction that will help.
This is my first time doing anything like this so bear with me. We'll all learn together. And, feel free to send any advice to me.

I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse, and after he had finished a rough first day on the job, a flat tire made him lose an hour of work & his electric drill quit, his ancient one ton truck refused to start. As I drove him home, he sat there in stony silence. On arriving he invited me in to meet his family. As he walked up to the house, he paused briefly at a small tree in the front yard, touching the tips of the branches with both hands. Upon opening the door, he had undergone an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged and kissed his two small children and gave his wife a kiss. Afterward he walked me to my car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen. "Oh, that my trouble tree," he replied," know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure, those troubles don't belong at home with my wife and kids. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them. Then in the morning I pick them up again. Funny thing is," he smiled" when I come out in the morning to pick them up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging up there the night before."
