Author bio:
Jan Underwood teaches Spanish at
Portland Community College, and when she's not at work, writes and practices Tae Kwon Do. She has lived in Canada, France and Mexico and now makes her home with her daughter in Portland. Day Shift Werewolf is her first novel. Excerpt: "Downtown, at the convention center, there's a gathering of young Republicans. That sounds pretty palatable. I find a doorway facing away from the main boulevard and wolf up. Then I go into the center from the back and prowl around for a while. On the fifth floor I find a sauna. It looks like there's just one guy here, a gauzy brown shape in the haze. Perfect. I slip in, slit his throat with a steady claw and have a young Republican for dinner.
Here's a revelation. This man should have been a delicacy. His flesh is |
|
| A thorough delight that will
make you laugh out loud."
