 Where do we go from here?  

The issues we face require accountability.  We can discover how to act for change to stop the Iraq war.  Active resources are available, and it is time to engage in constructive activism for social change.

The Wordsmith Collection's Activism Calendar and Newsletter for Portland Oregon is a good place to begin, but you can always contact elected officials.  This way you can  become another active resource.  If the calendar is not adequate, try these Alternative News Resources.  Or checkout some blogs for ideas.

Bush's Propaganda War cannot be allowed to extinguish our civil rights.  The naked conservative media bias is how our constitution was suspended without examining
the essential constitutional questions.  This corruption, along with covering-up atrocities in  Iraq, constitutes creeping fascism.  If some pundits don't like to hear it, that is just too bad.  These are the critical issues for 2007, and they will remain in the daily news.

As issues and news overwhelm us... We must keep things in perspective.  The
failed Bush presidency, and the incipient fascism it represents, pose a danger to
freedom in America.  Unless we are willing to allow the end of freedom in the USA...  We must reverse the suspension of habeas corpus which took place on
October 18, 2006.

There are people working on these issues!  The ACLU Freedom Files Project
is just one way we are trying to restore a free press in this nation. 

So what do we do now?  We insist on human rights and the rule of law. That law,
under these conditions, calls for impeachment.  It is time we get it done.  Too many
Americans who were all too willing to impeach Bill Clinton for sexual promiscuity...
cannot see why we should impeach  Mr. Bush.  George's behavior fits the definition
of what calls for impeachment.  Of we intend to stay free, these criminals must go. Impeachment is Prudent, and it is time we enforced the law.  (Impeachment Page     Impeachment Update)

These last six plus years of incivility and Incompetence need come to an end.
The war on Iraq is not acceptable.  We need to begin a new era of global politics, and local action.  Jefferson, Thomas would have us take these issues to heart and
fight for  justice.

We can raise our voices in print, on TV, and on the radio!.  George Bush is Not King.
The media is not Liberal.  And we have had enough lies, cynicism, & betrayal.

Contrary to the claims of the spin machine, the news is, Mr. Obama can win and lead us to a better place.  We must organize activism.  The Portland Literary Resource,
Portland Peace Portal, and other sources are available to which help to expose the
war-profiteering, corruption, and propaganda which rogues like Karl Rove pretend
to provide as national policy.  It is time we stopped listening to the Right Wing Extreme Spin Machine.  Their abject hubris and criminal behavior is beyond the pale.

With Cheney, Bush, Rumsfeld and others who are complicit in the destruction of our nation, we have portrait of  criminals whose machinations have resulted in spiritual discussions about the sad State of our Union: 2007.

Terrorism perpetrated by our own nation, along with the administration's apparent contempt for tthe Rule of Law have resulted in the most disconcerting news.

Unions are beginning to demand accountability.  People who care about our nation can Volunteer to change the relationships which determine whether we surrender to war or secure the Peace.  The Iraq Casualties, Coffins, and Costs of War are much too high.  The History of War proves that when warrant-less wiretapping is flat illegal, no emergency should remove this protection of our civil liberties.  The wisdom of curtailing civil rights in order to preserve security is questionable at best.
