1. The Senate will take the lead for researching a new model in budgeting and     planning
2. Comprehensive Program Review: build in student equity indicators & student     success by gender and ethnicity
3. Redo Student Equity Plan
4. AFT & Senate look at areas of collaboration
5. Revisit issue of Senate monies
6. Include library staff as part of Academic Senate

Other Important Issues We are Working On:

1. Encourage faculty to attend Learning assessment workshop on March 12
2. Encourage all departments to submit annual program reviews by the end of the Fall     semester
3. Work with COI on implementation of Program Improvement & Discontinuance     policy for affected ·hiatus· programs
4. Finalize the Student Dishonesty policy
5. Invite departments to make short presentations to Governing Council to better     acquaint us with program offerings at CSM
6. Explore the subject of incorporating diversity in curriculum (coordinate with COI)
