THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA is the third
largest country in the world in terms of area and
the largest in terms of population. Its total area
is 9.6 million square kilometers and its population
is 1.2 billion. China has shared borders for
centuries with Korea, the formerly Soviet Union,
Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan,
Burma, Laos and Vietnam.
At present, China was divided
into 23 provinces,5 autonomous regions, 4
municipalities directly under the Central
Government, and 2 special administrative region.

am Lily Li, a Chinese
student at HES Amsterdam
School of Business, I like to study at HES very much
because HES is an international school, we have student
from all over the world and we help each other here, i can
feel the family atmasphere around me all the time.
This is my first experience in studying abroad and staying
abroad for such a long period. but i don't feel very home
sick, i get so many friends around and i feel quite satisfied
with the current situation and i really learned a lot from
the people around me.
