At the hearing on Monday, Robert Buckland, prosecuting, told the court: "She saw him sitting in the dunes as she set out on her regular walk and began to feel uneasy. "She tried to keep her distance and was making for the golf course path when she heard him running up behind her. "He let out a frightening scream and shouted, 'lie down'. "When she refused, he threw a rock at her, hitting her left temple. "As she toppled, a second rock hit her in the jaw, fracturing it in two places. "He made off and in panic ran to the clubhouse," he said. Injuries James was arrested by police shortly after the attack after he was identified by his victim. You are a grave danger to women and will remain a risk in the future Judge David Wynn Morgan Judge David Wynn Morgan branded James a "grave danger" to women after hearing how he suffered from a mental disorder which meant he was sexually aroused by acts of violence. James, who admitted grievous bodily harm, was sentenced to life in prison and ordered to serve at least six years. "There must be a life sentence," said the judge. "You are a grave danger to women and will remain a risk in the future. "Even when you are released you will be on licence for the rest of your life. "The effect on the woman has been devastating but she is a remarkable young woman," he said. James was recommended to undertake sex offenders treatment in prison.
