With Friends
Like You
Our world can be a sunlit shore
with quiet waves of magic moments.
But parts of it are unexplored
with hidden hazards, twisting currents.
Sometimes it is beautiful and wonderful,
inspiring
but it can be dangerous and treacherous,
conspiring.
As we sail that coast, what we need the
most
is just a harbor, a place where we'll be
safe.

For me you are that special place
a sheltered cove for contemplation.
You come to me without a trace
of finding fault or accusation.
You provide a point of view, for talking
through, encouraging.
You are not conditional or critical,
disparaging.
As I sail that shore, I know even more,
that I am thankful I have a friend like
you.

With friends like you, we would see more
smiling faces.
Friends like you, leave us fewer fearful
places.
I can feel the energy and strength you
give me,
lifting me to face my challenges with
clarity.
Knowing what I do, I can't help but to
imagine
What the world could do with friends
like you.

With friends like you, we would see more
smiling faces.
Friends like you, leave us fewer fearful
places.
I can feel the energy and strength you
give to me,
lifting me to face my challenges with
clarity.
Knowing what I do, I can't help but to
imagine
What the world could do with friends
like you.
Because of knowing you, I can't help but
to imagine
What the world could do with friends
like you.
