Just another Manic Monday
: the weekend is over once again, and back to the daily grind it is... wish it was friday already =) Happy April Fools Day! have to think of a good april fools to do today...

[04.02.02]
Doh!
: well i couldnt think of a good april fools... oh wellz... but i remember some good ones that we`ve done before... in our sophomore year of college, Mistress and I pulled a prank on her man (now ex). we pretended that she had fallen down the stairs in the dorms, (which BTW is pretty believable.) we had all the right props.. an ice bag, bandages, the whole works.. had her leaning on my shoulder and hobbling down the street to meet him. needless to say we thought it was a pretty good act, i think she should have won and Oscar for it...=) well maybe i`ll think of something for next year

Bored to tears
: today has got to be the slowest work day... nothing to do... tried surfing the web-couldnt think of any good sites to hit, chatted with everyone, so im updated with everyones lives... even played internet games... and its only 2:15pm... BLAH

Hop, hop, hop...
: went out last Friday, ended up club hopping, which can be totally exhausting, im not living up to my nickname anymore... hee hee.. i thought the days of pick up lines were over, but i could be wrong. i was standing around at one point during the evening, when a guy comes over and asks "Is your name Tiana?"...his response to that is cuz "when he looked at me he saw snow-capped white heavenly mountains surrounding me". i would definately have to give him some credit for that... but its still pretty lame.

count down
: today is absolutely beautiful, no complaints here what-so-ever... if only everyday was like this. Excited about leaving for HK, can`t wait to visit

"mating call"
: went out to dinner with a friend yesterday, noted that he commented on the multitudes of females walking around without bras on... come on guys, its 90 degrees out, its humid, dont they understand that an extra layer of material adds extra heat... and if a girl chooses to not wear a bra underneath her cloths, that does not give males the right to oogle and stare. i understand that after a long bitter cold winter alone, and as soon as the temperature rise a lil all males instinctively want to "spread their seeds" (or loins as some would say... hee hee) but Please have some decency or at least hide it better that you`re staring.

~to answer the question of a male friend... yes, i do think women have a much or if not greater sexual appetite than men do. It may be the cause of spring fever, whre everyone wants to find a new budding romance... so be wary all you single people out there... hopefully your spring fling will last past the summer.

~later on in the day... i watch this really really romantically sad korean music video today... totally started to bawl at the end of the video in my office... thank goodness no one was around to witness it =*) if you have a chance... check it out...

~additional note (read this after you`ve seen the video): so a male friend of mine saw the video.. and I would have to say we had the strangest/funniest conversation over the video. interpretation can vary with people as i have noticed... while he thought he second male in the video was mad about the accident, i thought he was mad cuz he was was the gay lover... i guess his theory fits better than mine

~also we talked about eyes and surgery, okay, as we all know there is lasix now, and plus i think severing the nerve of the eyes would render them useless, i dont think you can reattach nerve... but he noted that if it was him, he would have given her one eye so that they both would be able to see... but hello how retarded would it look if they both only had one eye... its all or nothing, right? he then goes on to say, that maybe the eye donor could have been a dog...LoL! NOTE: dogs are color-blind... strange how some people think huh?? hahahahah

fragile
: was on the train this morning, when i noticed an asian man with his child. she must have been 7 or 8 years old, she was looking out the window at the scenery, like a inquisitive lil kid would. she had on the cutest outfit with a pink hat. it just made me smile inside to think of kids and their joys in being a youth. when Canal St. came around, the father and the daugther got up to leave. thats when i saw her face... i was so sad when i looked at her. what i saw was a little girl with bright eyes, a fragile frame and face, she wore the pink hat to hide the fact that she had no hair. she probably has leukemia or something of that sort. just seeing her made my heart ache...that someone so young can be affected by such a disease. all i could do was smile at her, it was my way of saying "hey kid...things will be okay" and all she did was smile back, as if her reply was "don`t worry...i`m okay"

Asia chronicles
: been in HK for about a day now.. its nothing like i expected.. its hot and extremely humid, and it isnt even summer yet. HK reminds me of Chinatown (aka the bad smells) but im here for the experience. havent been shopping yet, so far ive only checked out the local sites and visited relatives and the ancestors. cant find an internet cafe, so im spending HK$1 per minute (sucks huh?) i find it nasty that the toilets are holes in the floor. i still cant get used to the lack of good plumbing in Asia. the plane ride here was absolute HELL, 19 hour flight w/a lay-over, its a killer! next time i plan to stop off in cali first. overall, i dont want to make HK sound horrible, its actually nice in getting to know my roots. =)

Asia chronicles 2
: spent two days in HK and travelled to Malaysia. been to Kota Kinabalu and am currently in Sabah. visiting my mom`s childhood friends and family. all i have to say is GHETTO. everythinglooks run down shacks, but that is life here, maybe thats why asian parents always tell you to appreciate what you have, cuz they never had it. they lived in lil shacks and had to make the best of it, its incomprehensible to us cuz we are fortunate. it really does make you appreciate what they've sacrificed for you.

~trying to get used to eattin dim sum in the open air buildings. theres not much AC here, the mosquitoes are killers, i have bite marks that swelled to the size of eggs. woke up to the sound of roosters crowing, thats when you know youve landed in the land of "unknown" (lingo for city girls) the bathrooms are "economical" here. there isnt a partition or separation in the bathrooms for the shower, toilet and sink, so i can basically take a dump while i wash my hair. hahaha but gladly my cousins here are weathly in Malaysian standards, so im glad to be able to get on the internet. its currently saturday afternoon here, so my friends in NY are probably partying it up right now, considering its only friday night there.

~there is an abundance of asian Muslims here, which is kinda like culture shock, they are pretty destitute, reminds me of the mexicans in cancun. surprisingly, the population here has an average of two automobiles per very family. even those that arent "wealthy"
