Florida

West Palm Beach to Jacksonville

Nancy: Neo began his journey by waking up at 5am today. He rode with me and Baybe to Palm Bay to meet up with Theresa. He was so excited to be going for a ride - his favorite thing in all the world - and barked happily, hopefully not waking the neighbors. On the way he had a few special doggie cookies and put up with Baybe's stepping all over him so she could look out of every window. When we got to the McDonalds in Palm Bay, we said our good-bys with hugs and kisses and he was ready to begin the next leg of his journey. We will miss him but were fortunate to have known him and he will always be a part of our lives.

Theresa:  Neo was a total gentleman and all-around sweet boy. It was a pleasure to meet him and help in his transport. I handed Neo off to Becky around 9:30 this morning.

Becky:  We handed off around 11:15 in Jacksonville and he thinks he is on a thrilling adventure. He was more than willing to move on down the road. He gets very excited and very thirsty. I gave him water on the way but when we stopped in Jacksonville he layed down and really enjoyed drinking the water. He looks fantastic and is such a happy guy.

Jennifer: : I just got back to Jacksonville and wanted to let you know that Neo was great fun and seemed to be enjoying his adventure. He was a good rider, napped some, and gave me many kisses while he looked out the front windows. I got to spend about 40 minutes playing with him. What energy! I put him on my long lead and we played with a ball for a while. Apparently I don't know how to do it right, but Neo was patient with me. He got to burn some energy, explore a small field, meet some nice travelers and munch some cheese doggie biscuits (which he loves!). Thanks for letting me be a part of his grand adventure to his new family. He is a real sweetie, and I'm so happy for him that he's had such great people to care for him.

Georgia to Virginia

June: Neo's trip with June was from Eulonia Georgia to Savannah, Georgia - all went well!

Louise:  Neo made it to Savannah and is enjoying the trip!

4:34 p.m. - Diann:  Neo is on his way to Florence SC and his overnight!

Jennifer:  Neo has arrived in Florence safe and sound. He just spent the past half an hour running around my yard and is such a happy dog. Right now I am giving him a chance to eat dinner before I take him out again. He doesn't seem interested in his food yet, but then his tummy may be a bit queasy from all of his travels. He is a great dog, I will e-mail the pictures I took of him in my yard later tonight.

Andy: Andy's trip with Neo was from Florence, South Carolina to Columbia South Carolina. Andy, his family and Neo had their picture taken as Neo waited for his next ride. Thanks Andy!

Heather:  Hey y'all! Well, I'm back home safe and sound! Neo was an absolute sweetie! He was easier to deal with than my Dane-brat, Bacchus! (lol) We were running a bit late but Duff was patient and was waiting for us when we arrived. Andy and his family didn't seem to have any trouble, other than the baby bird rescue delay! Neo napped a fair amount of the way, but also decided he wanted to ride up front, so I cleared off the front seat for him, and he sat and looked out the window. He had drinks and some of those yummy biscuits that someone sent along, and was just as good as could be. I hope all of my future transports are this easy! This was so great and so much fun! It's just so nice knowing you did your small part to help a sweet dog to start a new life!

Duff: Duff had a long ride with Neo from Charlotte, North Carolina to Martinsville, Virginia and he was the lucky one to meet up with Cathy, Neo's new friend. You did good Duff!

Sara/Cathy:  Cathy picked up Neo and will help Neo settle in. You all did a fabulous job with this transport. You should all be quite proud of yourselves - I know I am!

Thanks Sara, we all couldn't have done it without you! Thanks Barb, you made this possible for Neo! A very special thank you to Cathy - you are Neo's guardian angel!!
