Lord help us
Mood:  down
Now Playing: Nuttin
Oh god, it seems like some surreal nightmare. In case you don't go to my school, Greg S., a junior, was killed on Saturday night in a car accident. Lindsey G. (Sophomore) and Tyler R. (Senior, he was driving) were also in the car. Lindsey broke her pelvis and some ribs, and Tyler broke his collar bone (i know how THAT one feels). I just saw Greg last week, and even though I didn't know him very well, he was a central part of AFS. He was funny, outgoing, and charismatic, and suddenly it all ended. School today was one of the weirdest school days ever. Everyone was shocked. I still can't believe he's dead. How could someone who I just saw last week, dancing around waving a plastic sword, be having a memorial service in his honor? It's not fair. How could someone so young, with his future ahead of him, die so suddenly? I heard he was in the passenger seat, and the car swerved and the passenger side hit a tree. Greg was just a kid! How the hell could this have happened? It really got me thinking about my own mortality, and how precious life is, yet we take it for granted. It still hasn't registered that a living person I saw last week will soon be six feet under. Where's the justice in that? Luckily, I wasn't close to him, so I wasn't affected as much, but imagine being one of his good friends, or worse, his parents! Imagine the utter hell they must be in, outliving their child. This untimely death has affected everyone, because no one at school was prepared for something like this. It's hit us hard, and I think Greg's absence will weigh heavily on us for some time. And it's not just like he was transferred or moved, no, his life was ended. A junior in our school was fucking killed. My utmost sorrow to Greg's family and close friends, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Rest in Peace, Greg
You will be sorely missed...
