11:26pm English time zone (12:26 Norwegian one) the 28th of June (29th of June when this is written down here).
Well this morning Anne popped out to buy an extra bag to pack the luggage in, once the stores had opened. I on the other hand did my very best to be lazy. The sun was shining directly into our window anyway, so it was too hot to do anything, anyway.
We had another one of our simple breakfasts in the room, before we had to pack the rest of the stuff, because we had to check out by 10am.
We were allowed to store the luggage in the TV-lounge after that. Lucky that, as while my suitcase was heavy, Anne had two equally heavy bags!
To make time go faster we went around one last time in York, we finally found something to buy Ima, even if I think “the tiny book of Rugby jokes” that we got Brikt was more brilliant. Strangely enough a lot of the jokes were fairly perverted, but very funny. =)

I got myself a very cheap purse, because of a sale. (A LOT of sales all the time in England, we’ve discovered) It was nice though. Oh and green and black striped arm warmers because of the fun of it.
The leftover money we spent on candy, magazines and meals during the day.
We went back, got our luggage and carried on to the railroad station (for the last time!). We had to wait there for two hours of course, but oh well, nothing a good book can’t cure.
(I just had to take a photo of the strange gravestones they had in the yard of one of the many churches around where we stayed. I thought gravestones just looked like that in the movies, honestly.)
The train from Glasgow was a bit late and we hadn’t made reservations either, so we ended up sitting by the exiting doors, on some very uncomfortable seats. Didn’t get to see much as I was afraid to wake the sleeping man sitting next to me.
But if what I saw, England is a very pretty country, lovely it is.
I had bought the magazine “Q” because of the CD you got along with it, but the magazine wasn’t too bad either.
Dad phoned when we were in the ticket line on King’s X station in London, he was fine, coming home from France tomorrow.
Anne had major issues on the fact that the two bags she carried were huge and heavy, while I only had one truly heavy suitcase.
(On our way to the trainstation. Psh, can you believe Anne complained about her having to carry all the luggage??)
The tube was fast, but took a long time anyway, if there were any more stops between King’s X and Heathrow, I’d get ill. It was pretty bumpy some places.
Heathrow is a pretty cool place actually. You saw people from all around the world it seemed.
What I didn’t like was the stores. Once you had come into the area you are before your plane leaves the stores got strange.
The tax-free store was weird as there was more foreign stuff there than actually British, which was disappointing.
The other stores I can’t understand what was even doing there. Who the hell can afford to buy anything by Chanel, Christian Dior or other expensive brands like that just as they’re about to leave the country?
I had almost nine pounds left, and with that sum about the only thing I could afford was candy from the tax-free store.
It was strange when we could suddenly hear all the Stavanger dialects being mixed with the British ones. One of the beach volleyball players who’re going to play at the beach volleyball thing in Stavanger this week was on the plane, it was pretty amusing how Anne was almost only half as tall as he was.
The weather was still wonderful, if a bit windy as we left London and England (lots of pretty houses to look down at from the airplane). But as we came closer to Stavanger, there were dark clouds and all you really wanted was to make the plane turn around again.
(To the right: The view from an airplane over England, before Anne told me it probably wasn't legal to take photos from the plane.)
Mum, Stine and Hilde had just arrived at the airport before we came as well, we took a taxi home together, the taxi driver had a strange/lame sense of humour -.-
(The few pences I had left from the trip.)
Right now the rest have gone to bed, the living room looks as though 20 people invaded it and forgot to take their things along with them when they left.
I’ve had an awesome trip. I want to go back to England again! Had an awesome time meeting Seran and Shaniqu and travelling with Anne proved to be pretty much as I expected. =)
Right now I think it’s time to finish this up as I’m dead tired from travelling now, and would really like to get some sleep.
Cheers,
Mette.
