MESSAGE POSTING POLICY 2005

Policy Details.

You may or may not have noticed that this is an unmoderated list. I chose this option to keep the email traffic at a reasonable level and make every attempt to increase the member count.

I do not believe that we need moderation unless there are several people who do not obey our club rules or display inappropriate conduct or posts. I believe that people who join trltrackerz should be able to say whatever they want to. However, please be aware that we do have rules already set up regarding posts.

Here are some reasons why a message might be deleted or hidden from the broad group.

1) The message you are planning on posting is "spam". This means that you send the same message like "Hot Girls Want You! Click here" to the group in mass amount, either in one single email or through several emails.

2) It's a "me too" message. Our guess is that a lot of subscribers do not want a ton of messages in their email box that just say "I agree with what [another user] posted." While I will read these and note the agreement, I will likely not forward it on to everyone unless it includes some original comments. You can always reply to the person directly rather than replying to the group if you really want them to know you agree.

3) You posted the same message more than twice without noticing. You will be reminded of this by email.

You can set your email options through your membership settings in the group. Options include: invidivual emails, daily digest, special notices, and no email.

I believe that this is the best way to keep the group running with a reasonable amount of information and community involvement. If you have specific feedback on this posting policy, please email me. If you would like to see this group under moderation, please feel free to cast your vote in Polls.

Thanks to everyone who is already active in the community.

This policy is adapted from here and has been changed a bit to reflect the needs of trltrackerz.

For those of you skeptical about this change, just check out how many members this dude has ! I thought by adapting his idea for a policy on posting to our needs, it would help our member count. moonrazzle
