The Pop Star - Introduction

Whee. This is yet another manga short (because I totally have a bunch of free time and can draw full length mangas right? lol not...) written for that evil Tokyopop contest. Is it about time I gave up or what? -_- Anyway, this one lost with gusto so they can't bitch if I put it up here.
Anyway, this one DEFINITELY has better art than the last contest entry. Unfortunately, I think the 20 page limit wasn't quite enough for my verbose self to explain the story quite thoroughly enough. I have this bad habit of trying to write short stories with lots of weird characters and social commentary and details. It TOTALLY doesn't work. Especially because I'm wordy. Ah yes..*fond memories of mother grilling me over a hot fire because of a wordy college essay in which I wouldn't just shut up....god i'm glad i'll never have to write another college essay....well...unless i decide to become a graduate student....ROTFLOL...first I have to learn to tie my shoes and do more statics problems.*
Did I mention I'm wordy?
ANYWAY...This story begins like it's simply following the fangirly lives of two teenage girls who are in love with a popstar, BUT I chose this mode of story transmission-ness because I think it's a typical simple scenario that people who read manga...or at least the ones who read mine...can understand/relate to. But the story in fact deals primarily with obsession of the detrimental kind. In the process of sounding kind of intelligent I mispelled that didn't i? -_- Anyway, it's not really about a popstar. It's about the irony of changing yourself because of an obsession with someone or something.
