Will platform games put pc games out of business? Which do you prefer platform games or pc games?

No i do not believe that platform games will put the pc games out of business. Why do i think this? Cause there are many of those devoted pc gamers that chose to use the mouse and keyboard during gaming instead of the controller... also pc there is always a way you can improve your gaming by updating your computer with newer, faster hardware. You really can't do much with your platform games. Yes to an extent, platform games probably do make a lot of money, but today there are so many people gaming on pc over the net for that high speed internet access. Platforms have begun to use internet access but right now pc is high above them in that feild. I myself choose pc games because i really dont like the controller and i also like to have better display with my ati 9800 pro radeon video card and i like my computers speed.

Should peer to peer networks be illegal?

Why or why not.

No, i believe they should not be illegial. One thing i do believe that people should not use to download music, movies, programs, etc... is kazaa and any other program that you know is not safe. Most of these programs contain spyware where you have people watching your online activity. I do not use these programs because i know the high risks of getting caught. IRC servers, are much more safe. And its much more easier to find full albums, full movies, and full complete compatable programs on these servers. Why do i know this is safe to go into these IRC servers? Because our lovely president Bill Clinton, while he was in office, made it illegial if any goverment official or FBI, CIA, etc... was in one of these chat rooms, they would be breaking the law. Thank-you Bill Clinton. So yes, i believe that peer to peer networks should be legal and thats why they still are.

Blog Assignment [01/19/05]
Read the article from this hyper link

http://www.wired.com/news/privacy/0,1848,66327,00.html?tw=wn_story_top5

Reply to the following questions:
1. Should the government have the ability to read your e-mail and moniter your on-line activity? Why or why not?

2. Does the government have too much control over the internet?

3. Do you think your personal information is secure on line? why or why not?

1. No, I believe the government should not have the right to read your emails and monitor your online activity. why? because your in your own home and some information, personal or not shouldnt be read by goverment officials. What you do on your computer is your business and your business only. I believe they should only monitor your online activity if there is a suspicious activity going on. but they should not read emails and certain conversations you have with people.

2. No, i do not believe the government does not have too much control over the internet... if they try to stop one person... usually in the next second there will be another person following along doing the same thing. so no they do not.

3. yes and no. Yes i believe some of my information is secure online. Some programs that you can get to keep certain people from seeing stuff you dont want them to see.. but there are those possibilities of someone easily hacking through your firewall and finding out certain information you might not want found or someone else to see...

The 'santy worm' has been on the prowl for phpbb (message board) sites. Attempting to make sites more secure by installing patches. Although it makes it more secure, it can also cause trouble for admins of site (message board). The worm might cause a huge ammount of traffic to come in and might be alittle bit destructive on your bandwidth. The worm was found to be targeting google and it was using aol and yahoo's search engines.

I believe virus writers should not be protected under the first ammendment. Why? because virus' do not help us much. sure, they are fun to use sometimes but they only can end up causing trouble. Yes i have been attacked by virus' many times. It isn't to cool but eh that was when i didnt know much about computers and didnt really bother to worry about what i downloaded on the internet. now, i watch everythign i download. and keep my firewall up and running 24-7.
