ART PIECE

"Stub" (horizontal view)

In 1987 at 11 a.m. while I was sitting in the Hard Rock Cafe in NYC, scarcely anyone else in the place, Yoko Ono came in (I would be very surprised if she did not already know of me at that time). The only thing I could find in my pocket worth getting autographed was a ticket (used but never collected) from the World Trade Center. I think it pleased her. Here it is seen under a magnifying glass held by magnets to a world globe bank.

"Stub" (vertical view)

Same as the preceding image, this being the vertical view. Or the horizontal view, should you feel the need to apply a subjective disposition in this matter.

"Stub" (another view)

Same as the preceding two images, from another view. One definition for the word "stub", not completely unrelated to the "ticket stub" idea, refers to what remains after a limb has been severed. It is my understanding that in such instances one continues to feel the missing limb as if it is still there. That definition also fits this art piece.
