Is a community resource center important in the World Wide Web?

This is the question I set out to answer when I began planning to develop my own website. Intuitively, I knew the answer should be yes, but I wanted to make sure that there is none out there locally that focuses on the resource guide for the human services professionals. I googled Online, but I could not find anything that resembles my idea of a resource guide. When I visited one of my closest friends, she suggested that I should collect all my researched articles and post them on my site. When I came home that day after visiting her, I started to work on gathering all the site addresses that I frequented for my work and school research. It will be a monumental task to get these addresses together. The links that I would be adding in my site will be articles that emphasized human services and the community resources. Bear in mind, that these links and or articles will be pieces of the puzzle that would form into a patchwork of information that we can all benefit from.

As a learner in Human Services,I find it important to have a site where anyone can visit - "no strings attach" to find resources that are helpful to the Human Services profession.

When I began my Field Experience as a requirement to complete my field of study, I was more connvinced that a one-stop community resource center Online is needed for all of us to benefit. Whether you are a Human Services Professional, a job seeker, a community volunteer, or someone who is needing information about community resources, this resource site is for YOU!
