Mood:  not sure
wow...it's been a while. my daughter is two years old now and my son is a monster going on eight. or is that eighty? hard to tell...he gripes like an old man, he's cantankerous and bossy. and i want another one? eesh!

right now i'm involved with organizing a pagan community network for the area, seeking guidance from strong communities like focasmi.org (a truly wonderful organization). i'm also becoming more politically involved with the democratic club (me? a democrat? oh my fucking gods!), and we are trying to raise awareness with today's youth about government. most kids these days don't know what to look for in a candidate, so we're pushing schools to teach MORE on government. ironically, government is the weakest subject in most high schools. debate clubs don't count, and don't even get me started on that! being able to argue and sway others to see a good point is not the same as politicking or voting. knowing how the government works, knowing your rights, that is far more important. it's a headache, but the outcome will be far greater in the end.

colin and i are again planning a camping trip to the upper peninsula. yes, again we are arranging to backcountry hike and camp at the pictured rocks...providing no health issues debilitate me again. for now we are going over a checklist of items needed (we're borrowing the tent, buying the packs and cookware, etc) and we have a long way to go. we don't plan on vacationing until mid-august, just before school starts. the kids are staying home...i'm not into catching or retrieving falling bodies, and there are plenty of unmarked cliffs.

as for now, i'm pulling long hours and weeks, training new staff. now THAT is a never-ending job, considering for every four we hire, three are canned within a week. such is being in management. bah.

huh?
Mood:  caffeinated
allow me to introduce the immediate clowns in my life.

there's colin, my ever-loving, devoted boyfriend, who nursed me back to health just three months after we started dating. he's a wonderful lad, tall and strapping with dark brown hair and blue/gray eyes.

colin's son, cj (yes, he is colin, junior~no he didn't name his son, his ex did) is an adorable round-faced 6-year old tyrant. he's bubbly and full of energy (where do the batteries go!?) and quite clever as well as sneaky. he's a handful, but he's also a delight.

my son, brian, is a pipsqueak. he's a 7-year old brainiac, a videogameaholic to the nth, and the apple of my eye. although he lives with dad, we see each other on a regular basis.

colin's father, david, is a libra...just like me. i razz him about women, he razzes me about bitching, and we get along (he nudged colin to date me). he works at post (cereal), drives a jeep, rides a harley, but he doesn't look like a biker...

colin's uncle robert...well...he's okay some days, and a headache others. right now he's on probation (he spent 90 days in prison for drug possession), and since he has nowhere else to go, he lives with colin, cj, and david. he has no job, but he's the cook/maid/gardener/babysitter. sometimes. when he feels like it.

my roommate, dave (whom i will refer to as "hairball") is a big jokester. the guy used to do stand-up comedy. he loves to put you on the spot, and can be frequently seen trolling the house in a beach towel (he sleeps naked, and no...i've never seen him naked. that would be like seeing my dad naked! ew!). oh, and he's also my boss. the most memorable meeting we had was when he opened with "two-hundred and ninety POUNDS! that's so depressing!" (in reference to his weight).

steve, my ex, and the father of brian, can be the epitome of a pain in the ass, but he can also be my best friend. sometimes i refer to him as "redneck" which he LOATHES but deals with.

there is also my daughter, celeste, whom i released for adoption. i get updates and photos from her "mom and dad" through the adoption agency and i will share them from time to time.

the other clowns i will introduce as they come into play. that's all for the moment...
