LINLEY WOOD RESERVOIR

Sunday 1st June 2003

Week 13, Day 68

Yet another walk Dave and I took to pass time and get outside. It was a hot summer's day and we were excited over now having a car to go places. We ended up at this reservoir which is only about 15mins drive away. Unfortunately, the weird was dried up (not high water season it seems) but the walk was still beautiful.

When we got to the end of the reservoir we decided to loop up through the fields to head back to the car. Though we didn't get completely lost - the walkway wasn't very well marked through the fields (and it wasn't just us because we passed some other walkers who too were confused) - we didn't end up going quite the way we had intended. Still, we got back in the end which really is the main thing.

Back home, we waited for Canadian Mike's call - and we got it. Picked him up from town and came back to our abode. He and Dave went for a pint off the Meanwood Valley Trail, which is where Mike's picture was taken.
