September 1/2003 Again Ally has a striking idea, of making our own clothes/toys and selling our hard work. I am assuming we will have a new member as well, Loryn or even Kerry's mom, who I am hoping will help us out with our repair team, which we need badly. Our clotheand toy making will start out as fundraising so we can buy a peice of land and let our workers from the church (or where ever they are from) can build our main headquarters! Other fundraising activities such as bake sales and massive yard sales will come around as well. There will be tons of other fundraising and donation activities that will be held for our Organization as well. |
August 29/2003 Email to President from Vice President "I was at Small Group tonight and I was mentioning the organization to everyone there. Everyone seems really interested in helping out and stuff. I was thinking, before you move here, I could gather up some toys from people in the congregation and keep them at my house. Then whenever you get the chance you could come over and assess them. Maybe we could also ask around for people who might not be expecting a good Christmas and work on collecting toys fo the kids in those families. We could also have a toy drive at school. People could bring in a toy or donate some money and then we could either buy new toys with the money or spend it accordingly (like repairing stuff). Do you think you'd like to make it a GRCI club? If you want it to be a club (and hence, get the school's help with some of it like fundraising and stuff) then we'll probably have to act fast and get some info and stuff during the first bit of school."
