Our Dogs        Brags        Litters       Special Thanks      Links       Contact       Home

We are a small family run kennel located in the beautiful Grey County. Our dogs are members of our family and live in our home with us. We compete at conformation shows and have champion bloodlines. Occasionally we have puppies and when we do we strive for happy healthy goldens with wonderful temperaments and conformation. All of our dogs have health clearances prior to breeding.  Hips, elbows, heart and eyes. Our dogs are family first, if they work into our breeding program that’s great but if they don’t they are still our family.

 About Us

We got our first golden in March 1991 “Lacey”. Our children were 3 years and 6 months at the time. She played a huge part in raising them. She was a puppy herself but she was so gentle and good with them. She was always up for what ever they wanted to do - when ever they wanted to do it - and the more kids there where the happier she was. In August 1995 we got our second golden “Cagney” (of course). She too was absolutely wonderful and a vital part of our family. Our children are “the boys” and our goldens are “the girls” They spent many years being subjected to Halloween costumes ( Bat Dogs, Ninja Turtle Dogs, Ghost Dogs), playing doctor, they had many wild hair dos, and they both ended up as show and tell objects on more than one occasion. If one of the boys happened to be sick the girls were like a pair of mother hens. My one son broke his femur and spent 3 months in a body cast; we rented a hospital bed and planted him in the living room rather than carrying him up and down the stairs. Cagney quite literally spent 3 months in that bed with him, leaving only long enough to eat and go out to go to the bathroom. They pretty much went everywhere with us and did everything with our family. When we did have to leave them I always felt guilty.

It was “Cagney” and “Lacey” that got us hooked, they taught us how truly amazing goldens really are. I could not imagine our lives without them. The love and devotion they have and the willingness to please is incredible. I knew then that I wanted to be a bigger part of the golden world. I wanted to be able to give others the same experience we have had. I also wanted to make sure I went about it the right way. It has taken me several years and a lot of hard work to get to where I am now, but when a family leaves here with one of my puppies I feel very proud. Knowing what they have to look forward to, and the many years of happiness they will have with their golden…. is a wonderful feeling.
