September 11th

Today is September 11th. As we all know two years ago to this day the WTC and Pentagon were struck with commercial airliners. The site of this carnage should still be strong in everyones mind and it makes my stomach turn as I think about the great lives lost on that day two years ago. Here at West Virginia University they have displayed all the names of the victims upon the wall outside of the downtown library. The site of this massive grouping of names is a very powerful statement. It reminds me of why we are fighting in Afganistan and most recently Iraq. I am glad we have a president who will stand up to the terrorists, unlike Bill Clinton. Old Bill "did not want to stir up the bees nest." I do not blame the entire attack on Mr. Clinton, but I do wish he would have done more for the security of this country. After dismantling our military and intelligence services for eight years, allowing North Korea to do its fair share of nuclear cheating, and not standing up to the terrorists I am happy we have GW as our Commander in Chief. I think GW is doing a wonderful job on the national security of this country, but lets face it, Bush just is not standing up for limited government. I realize the congress is spending way to much money, but GW has yet to veto one single spending bill. Bush you have that power! Use it! Therefore, I will leave you today with a quote for those nasty terrorists. "America has entered a great struggle that tests our strength, and even more our resolve. Our nation is patient and steadfast. We continue to pursue the terrorists in cities and camps and caves across the earth. We are joined by a great coalition of nations to rid the world of terror. And we will not allow any terrorist or tyrant to threaten civilization with weapons of mass murder. Now and in the future, Americans will live as free people, not in fear, and never at the mercy of any foreign plot or power." George W. Bush "
